Monster tech mounts

GEnts:

I have a set and I think they are solidly built I am rebuilding my office chair to accommodate a side mount of these mounts. The chair is an executive chair.. cloth... but the perfect thing about it is when you tilt the back of the chair back the seat tilts with it.......... easier on my lower back.

I am rebuilding the sides of the chairs to accept plywood sides to which they will be securely fastened to the arms of the chair. And, the Monster tech mounts to the sides.......(I will change the lower plate alignment to allow side mounting.) .. I am going to have to remove the pressure apparatus and drill two holes in the mounts through the plywood sides...... I am also rebuilding my "baby chair" removable food tray to allow placement of the key board........ I was to have finished this 2 weeks ago... but my workouts etc are eating up my time..

This is a redesign of similar chair mounting I had on an old office chair which I sold 8 years ago.

They look good, from Germany too... what else can you say.

A longer extruded length is needed for a centre mounted hawg with extension... additional plates would be superb to sit above the extended stick for a centre MFD... perhaps.?.

nice kit.

With table mount: can I remove weight from the TM Warthog throttle?

I have ordered my Monstertech table mounts on 20-SEP-2016 and received them today. Very solid stuff, excellent workmanship and not difficult to set up. You need to have a solid table though, as the TM WH throttle is awfully heavy.

That's good when it's sitting on top of the table, but when used with a table mount, it puts considerable strain on the edge of the table. And it's inconvenient when you have to manipulate it.

I cannot believe that the weight is all coming from the steel case, buttons and electronics, and I'm wondering if TM put any additional steel or lead in there to make it real heavy. Has anybody checked?

If there is added weight in there I would love to remove it.

Has anybody looked at that?
