Yes, pre-purchase usually doesnt happen until they know early access is imminent... I hope soon™ :)

My WWII Backer Rewards includes 'Normandy Map' and

'Normandy Map Alpha access'

Is there a difference between early and Alpha access?

I have barely looked into this part of the forums, the Normandy map is looking very nice though and I am loving the airstrips. If I may ask some questions here I would be grateful

Will this be a similar standard to NTTR ? and will it run in 2.0.3 or whatever number by the time of release

Will there be bigger airfields for bombers to take off from.

Thanks:thumbup:

Should be similar quality standards of NTTR, as for what number it will run under, just depends when it will release what number we are at.

I have only read a general description of the area covered for the Normandy map.

When will we see a map showing what the actual area is, not necessarily the actual Normandy Map, to be released?

example:

or

Bigger, not so much the detailed areas but the border areas. And now its getting a number of new airfields as well.

Isn't that the only way to make a map bigger > move the borders outward?

I can't wait to give you guys more of my money!

TLDR - thanks for taking the time to undoubtedly make Normandy another incredible offering! But also hurry up, we want it! (just kidding)

I'm pretty new to flight sims, having started in War Thunder then very quickly moving to IL-2 BOS and DCS P-51D.

The incredible attention to detail in DCS and the effort put into familiarization and meaningful training in the P-51D is amazing, and very much appreciated. And the manual, for both DCS itself and the P-51... Top notch, way more than I would have expected.

I have found that paying $xx for one plane at this level of detail with real training on it is so much better than paying the same price, or even less, for more planes but skimping on what DCS does so well.

With Normandy, I think my copy of IL-2 will go the way of War Thunder.

Welcome to the party! You'll be building your own sim-pit next...

Lol, Thanks! I want an Obutto R3volution pretty bad... I just upgraded my 32" TV to three 27" 1080p monitors (Gtx 1070 coming next), and I did build a Power Grid for the left, right, and center control panels in the P-51, does that count? Now, if only Roccat had client software for a windows tablet...

Why don't you give a chance to Oculus Rift. P51 looks awesome when you are inside thanks to VR.

And you have all the controls at your service... and all the sphericall inmersion...
