WildBillKelsoe Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 As above. I'll post a vid explaining the problems, maybe because I come from uh1 its not felt to work? Also autopilot top position does not hold altitude hands off while bottom (speed) position does. Pointers? Mt5_Roie Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 So I just flew about an hour long mission and used both altitude and speed modes. So altitude mode you have to make sure your VVI is 0 and speed is above 120 kph. I assign it to a switch on my throttle so it's on constant when I activate it. As long as I don't pitch up or down to hard, or slow down - it will hold the altitude. You'll also be able to turn pretty nicely too. In this mode, collective will control speed. The speed mode is similar, expect the only criteria is to be above 120 kph. In this mode collective will control height. I'll see if I can make a video this weekend. WildBillKelsoe Posted September 2, 2016 Author Posted September 2, 2016 I'll test now these parameters and report back with a video either ways. Thanks Roie. WildBillKelsoe Posted September 2, 2016 Author Posted September 2, 2016 Roie.. I tested it can you confirm if it is intended in my video? Mt5_Roie Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 Hard to tell since the collective wasn't moving much. I'll try to make a video later showing it's usage. Roie.. I tested it can you confirm if it is intended in my video? Coder - Oculus Rift Guy - Court Jester

Pat01 Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 As it is now in code Speed limits for speed mode is 120-225 km/h Altitude mode 120-211 km/h Values over limits may have unexpected effects, like diving in altitude mode because the autopilot cannot hold altitude anymore at the speed the mode was engaged (autopilot trying to pîtch the helicopter down to maintain the overspeed).

Left you a reply there, redownloading. Will report back if its sorted. Thanks Roie and Pat. WildBillKelsoe Posted October 7, 2016 Author Posted October 7, 2016 again, I cant get altitude mode to engage properly. My VVI is on 0 and speed is 200 km/h. According to chucks manual, the collective would be the problem if its above required to keep VVI and would cause pitch down moments, and pitch up moments if below required for VVI, until it lights PA on attention panel by bleeding speed to less than 120 km/h. I'll post a video as this issue above all others is getting on my nerves now. Speed (Vitesse) mode which I understand works flawlessly even though real pilots don't use it at all (Aerospatiale fluke? No intel). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk AWAITING ED NEW DAMAGE MODEL IMPLEMENTATION FOR WW2 BIRDS Fat T is above, thin T is below. Long T is faster, Short T is slower. Have you tried trimming the cyclic first to maintain 0 VVI before engaging the AP? Edited October 10, 2016 by Ilyushka00
WildBillKelsoe Posted October 10, 2016 Author Posted October 10, 2016 it does not work at all, even in hover there is always stick pressure needed. its not like huey at all. I can see stick moving to new position but I still have to hold it by grip. I am posting a video as its irritating me.
