dureiken Posted September 4, 2016 Posted September 4, 2016 Hi there I would like to share my tests on DCS 1.5 and 2.0 about SLI impact and CPU overclock impact. My rig : i5 6600k+GTX1080 Gaming X SLI+16GB DDR4+4k Philips BDM4065UC Under DCS all sliders are maxed out. DCS 1.5 track : http://www.mediafire.com/download/g53vzaiopq3s6bg/M2000ombres.trk DCS 2.0 track : http://www.mediafire.com/download/vc8wfww6crcmmv6/Bench.trk I use Fraps for recording fps. For DCS 1.5 I use this profile : https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2681946&postcount=225 DCS 1.5 no SLI vs SLI DCS 1.5 no SLI 4.6Ghz vs 5.0Ghz DCS 2.0 no SLI vs SLI DCS 2.0 no SLI 4.6Ghz vs 5.0Ghz I have made a lot of others tests, you can ask if you want. DCS 1.5 Water impact Water detail have a HUGE impact on fps : My settings with 1 GTX 1080 under 1.5 Finally I sold the second GTX as it is not used in DCS 1.5 for now, and here are my final settings for playing 60hz in all situation, Vsync on : Hope this help !

MikeMikeJuliet Posted September 5, 2016 Posted September 5, 2016 Interesting to see how little effect the overclock has. Of course this is just one PC. I'd be interested to see multiple similar benchmarks to see if this is true with lower clockspeeds as well. Are you intending to do similar test with multiple AI units and combat? You won't even notice such difference without fps counter. Hardware: VPForce Rhino, FSSB R3 Ultra, Virpil WarBRD, Hotas Warthog, Winwing F15EX, Slaw Rudder, GVL224 Trio Throttle, Thrustmaster MFDs, Saitek Trim wheel, Trackir 5, Quest Pro

DCS being a CPU hungry sim I hoped to see some magic ;) DCS Finland | SF squadron

dureiken Posted September 7, 2016 Author Posted September 7, 2016 Why ? I prefer to stay at 60hz fix than moving from 60 to 130hz
