Fisherman82 Posted September 4, 2016 Posted September 4, 2016 I would really like to be able to set a condition for triggers that would be based on the time of day. For example "Time of day is less" and "Time of day is more". I like to make randomized missions where I dont know which units that will spawn, if I could have time of day as a condition I could for example have AI flights spawn carrying and using illumination bombs if it is night time but not in the day. It would also be good with conditions for weather but I guess that would be harder to do :)
Wrecking Crew Posted September 4, 2016 Posted September 4, 2016 There are Conditions for Time More and Time Less. Visit the Hollo Pointe DCS World server -- an open server with a variety of COOP & H2H missions including Combined Arms. All released missions are available for free download, modification and public hosting, from my Wrecking Crew Projects site.
Fisherman82 Posted September 4, 2016 Author Posted September 4, 2016 I know, but that is more or less than a amount of seconds since mission start. What Im looking for is to be able to set more or less than for example 21:00. It would work independent of what time in the sim the miission starts.
feefifofum Posted September 4, 2016 Posted September 4, 2016 The problem there is guessing intent. If you're planning a morning op, is that after 21:00 or before 21:00? :) THE GEORGIAN WAR - OFFICIAL F-15C DLC
VAF [136] Striker Posted September 4, 2016 Posted September 4, 2016 Well, another idea that I had back awhile ago is that they should at least have the option of setting time values using "hours, minutes, seconds" in my opinion. Having to set 3600 seconds for an hour is inconvenient. Nvidia GTX-1080 Intel i7-4820K 3.7 Ghz ASUS ROG Rampage IV Extreme MB 32 GB Memory Windows 7 Pro 64 Bit [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

feefifofum Posted September 4, 2016 Posted September 4, 2016 Absolutely, a TIME IS condition would be awesome as well... THE GEORGIAN WAR - OFFICIAL F-15C DLC
Fisherman82 Posted September 5, 2016 Author Posted September 5, 2016 The problem there is guessing intent. If you're planning a morning op, is that after 21:00 or before 21:00? :) I dont know anything about software development but Im thinking that the the clock in the sim is a parameter that runs 00:00 to 24:00 and then starts over from 00:00 (like any clock). So, if I would like AI flights to use illumination bombs between 21:00 to 05:00 the next morning for example I could set time of day is more 21:00 OR time of day is less than 05:00. They would then use them anytime the clock-value is more than 21:00 and less than 05:00 regardless of that a new day starts at 24:00. The hour value would be good enough for me, I would be happy with "hour is more" and "hour is less" that can be set to 21 and 5 for example.
