[RESOLVED]Mission 5: Ordering wingmen causes radio menu to lock up

In this mission, if I try to order my flight to attack, nothing happens and the radio menu becomes stuck on that page permanently.

 

Steps to reproduce:

1. Start mission 5

2. Fly to Honi

3. Attempt to order your flight to attack ground targets

Never had this problem, I will take a look. Are you using any mods?

Nope, I removed all mods, disabled Tacview and ran the repair tool, but the bug still occurs.

Just had the exact same thing happen to me. Fkeys worked fine in the options menu but locked up in the mission... tried different radios, etc. Ended up getting beat up enough that I tried going back to base, for some reason the calls to the ATC worked but nothing else, then I started getting a menu that would say for example interphone only with no options under it.

 

Edit: restarted mission, same issue happened again. I tested it early with a flight joinup message and it worked fine, but as soon as I wanted to assign an attack it froze.

Perhaps try to open the mission file and check the file structure - sometimes editor adds a lot of trash to the mission file structure (additional options etc). It should have one folder and three files: mission, options, warehouses in the main directory. If there are more files in there, they might be causing the problem.

StandingCow and BD thank you for the responses. I'll check the files in the miz file. Had no issues in beta testing. Unfortunately I did not have access to the the latest release candidate of Dcs world when submitting the DLC pack. I appreciate the bug reports and will work diligently to get these resolved. Please keep posting, I appreciate it.

I'm going to recreate the entire mission from scratch tonight and test tomm, cant find a solution to why the radio is not working after a certain spawn event.

Mission 5 bug is fixed in latest patch, update DCS World and you should be good to go. Also, no more going back a mission if you fail or quit early!

Just want to say that Radio still gets stuck on Mission 5, only difference I can see is that I am able to get out of the radio menu. When trying to order wingmen to attack it gets stuck on whatever page you go to and won't return to previous screens or allow you to actually issue any orders. It just gets stuck on the final page.

You sure you updated to the newest version of DCS? 1.5.4.57013?

 

That is exactly describing the old bug that is supposed to be fixed.

Just checked the mission, you can check the individual mission by opening the mission in mission editor and testing. No comm issues in Mission 5. Quick video to show comms working:

My bad, I didn't get the update notification for some reason. Had to force a repair to get it to recognize a a new update being available.
