After about a 3 year absence from DCS I decided to come back. I've been wanting to fly the new aircraft and try out the Nevada Map. I had completely removed all DCS software from my machine, so over the past 24 hours I have been loading everything back on. Everything is installed and updated. I'm using "DCS World 2 Open Alpha"; after starting the program and trying to do a "Quick Mission" I couldn't get it to run. The screen would flash a few times to different screens as though it was doing something and when it came back it was a smaller window in the upper, left corner of the monitor. The Quick Mission wouldn't load. So I decided to try "Instant Action", this did work. It loaded and I was flying, but when I go to an external view, the desert below is fairly blurry and low resolution. All of my graphics settings are turned all the way up. Everything is set to high. Nothing works to correct this problem, the desert is fuzzy and of low resolution. I searched the forums for information on this and couldn't find anything. Any help and assistance is very welcome. :helpsmilie:

It honestly sounds something might be wrong with your install. When on the desktop, try pressing the windows key and type in "DCS repair" and choose the executable to repair your openAlpha install.

Im pretty sure you have to buy the nevada test and training range (NTTR) map to fly in 2.0

Sorry if i misunderstood your post.

Quick mission not implemented yet, it is only alpha stage DCS

You could be in a low resolution area of the map. Hit F-10 and figure out where you are and post the coordinates in this thread.
