Got the pedals with warthog HOTAS. I for the life of me cannot get the pedals working for any of the standard A/C. I bought the A-10c before I found this problem. They check out in TARGET and windows. I even downloaded a demo flight program and everything worked perfect.

I know a lot you are using these with no problems so it must be something I'm doing wrong. The stick and throttle seem to be working fine.

I'm using DCS v 1.5.4. I turned off everything running on the computer that I thought might be causing a problem but that didn't help.

Appreciate your help.

But, you goes ino DCS Controls, example A-10, axis commands, select TFRP column and set their axis for rudder?

If movement is not detected when press pedal (relatively common in latest patches), select axis by name is drop down menu, then goes in Axis tune for check, adjust, etc.

I dont seem reason for use that TARGET for set pedal rudder, brakes axis.

I'll try that.

I did notice when assigning the axis that it would only recognize one direction.

Thank you.

tintifaxl, Nice setup. I'm running windows 7 pro with i7-6700K. Seems to work good and a real upgrade from my last build.

Glad yours are working good. I hope to get mine going and making the game more realistic.

One more thing I noted, the throttles don't work the first time until I move L/R full forward and back to off. After that they are fine.

Thanks,

You can post picture of DCS controls GUI assignments for Rudder Pedals?

Including the "AXIS Tune" adjust.

This will make more easy people help you in detect your problem.

There's no reason for a HID controller (joystick/pedal...) that work in Windows Games Control (joy.cpl) don't work in any game that used DImput.

Corrupt controls, conflict, wrong "sensibility" adjust... is what prevent this.

Sokol1 I'll get that for ya. Thanks

("JOY_RZ" Rudder )is the only assignment for the rudder.

I have not made any changes to the AXIS Tune.

Hope this helps.

Thank You

My control panel looks like yours but the L/R toe brakes are 0% until I push them in.

Joy RZ is what the GUI put in. I cleared it and put Z but it didn't make a difference.

When I make changes I make them for both SIM and GAME. Still not sure how they are used.

I really appreciate your help.

I can make changes to the Joy and Throttle and they work. I'm sure it must be something I'm doing wrong.

Thanks

Depending on the mode you're flying (you can select that in the options), you only need to make changes to the controller assignments, that correspondent to your mode.

You could try to clear all assignments for the rudder (in All and Axis) and then try to assign the rudder again.

I'll look for the options for the mode.

I cleared the category for the rudder and reassigned it but it did not make a difference.

Could it be the TARGET software I ran? In target it shows the rudder working but I don't know where it saves the file it created.

Thank you again for the help.

You only get one entry when assigning the rudder. Just forget any 3rd party software. Assign the rudder in the appropriate column for the rudder pedals in DCS options/controls/Axis menu the assignment will say Joy_RZ this is correct. Make sure the only column you see Joy_RZ is in the correct column for your rudder pedals to avoid hardware conflicts and try it with whatever plane you mapped controls for. Be aware all aircraft need to be inputted this way although DCS does recognise and assign axis there are often duplicate entries for multiple controllers

They work! I did like you said and set sim mode only. I unchecked the game mode.

I changed the Joy RZ to Z.

I also went thru all the assignments to make sure nothing was set in the throttle.

Thank you so much for your help. Now I can start learning all the systems.

One question: How do you know which profile you are in? I'm going to delete all the other one's I have saved.

I want to thank you all for your help. Having a vast amount of knowledge to ask help from is invaluable. I hope someday to get up to speed to fly multiplayer, but I see that far off in the future.

Thank you again

Glad your sorted:thumbup:. Most people on these forum are happy to help.

I am unsure what you mean by profiles though. I personally have no profiles. Just the key inputs/controller inputs within the control options in game.

They are worth their price and I like them. As a previous owner of the Saitek Combat pedals, I don't feel the TM ones are worse. But of course they can't hold their own against the higher end pedals like MFG or VKB ...

Cibit - When you edit or create the inputs, there is an option to save profile or load profile. I'm assuming(I hate that word) that means the inputs you just edited or created. As a noob..... I appreciate the help.

The pedals were free with the HOTAS. Having so much trouble getting them to work I'm just glad they work. For the short period I used them they seem to work good. I had to set the deadzone and curvature to tone down the sensitivity. I can see if I ever had the chance to use a higher end set of pedals I would notice they are close together, cheap feel... cause they are, but at this point I don't notice it that much.

I got mine a couple of days ago. They are my first pedals ever.

I find them kinda sensitive with standard values. Can someone post recommendations for the axis fine tuning?

It feels like I start from zero, when I am using them on the ground. Pretty twitchy :'D
