Hi

Just bought the F5, and im having some issues with it.

The guns and missiles fire when using spacebar for them (default) but when i bind them for my joystick and/or hotas nothing happens, binding the nosewheel steering works well though, the issue seems to be just with the weapons. Other modules dont seem to have this issue.

welcome to the forum

do you encounter this under the esact same situation? In air, master arm on, selective jettison off, right switches used?

Also check that it even recognise the button, and make sure it's not a slider or rotary?

Can you drop bombs or fire rockets?

You should also try to bind fire missiles/release weapon and fire gun to two different buttons/key bindings

The trigger is a 2 stage one.

The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.

You will need to map a 2 stage trigger or have a button to open the gun smoke deflectors before firing the cannon. You will also need a weapons release button for missiles rockets and bombs

Currently the problem persists on missions and on instant action, multiplayer for instance works fine. As for the 2-stage issue, mapping a button for that is the same as for weapons release, does not work under the 2 modes. And i just rechecked the nosewheel steering, only works on multiplayer and tutorials, same for every other button bind to joystick.

So as long as either flying tutorial or MP everything is fine, under any other game mode none of the keybinds to joystick works.

Okay, found the reason for the problem, had Game avionics option on from the menu, with that turned to OFF everything works.
