WelshZeCorgi Posted December 6, 2016 Posted December 6, 2016 I was wondering if it was possible to make a cutscene before the actual campaign starts.
Apache600 Posted December 6, 2016 Posted December 6, 2016 I've experimented with this a little. The answer = yes* * - you can not have the "player" or "client" aircraft spawned yet. - once the "player" aircraft spawns, the camera is forced into cockpit. - The mission starts in the F10 map. - The player will have to press F2 or F7, or some view to get the camera out of the F10 map. - The player is free to move the camera around however they want, possibly missing what you would want them to see. - Custom sound files do still work though. So have been my findings - Apache600 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] The Museum Relic Campaign: --> http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=164322 Community Missions (SP & MP) --> https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=205546
WelshZeCorgi Posted December 6, 2016 Author Posted December 6, 2016 Think someday that will be a feature, in like 2.5? the ability to make custom cutscenes?
Apache600 Posted December 6, 2016 Posted December 6, 2016 Personally .... No, I don't think they'll make it a feature. There's a lot talented folks out there that will make movies and trailers, but by stitching different clips together in a movie editor. What would be nice, is if they were able to make "clickable" links in the mission briefing section, so we could then take a player to an external link for a different briefing set-up, or a YouTube video.
