Allow helicopters to escort vehicles/ships

It has been implemented and I am using it at present to escort ground vehicles. :thumbup:

Its a system for the AI. Any Helicopter that has been assigned the CAS role can do it. You need to add it as an action in the special waypoints editor. And then assign it to a ground unit. Just like assigning a fighter to escort another Air unit

Unfortunatley you can't use that. Using the special task "Follow" under Advanced waypoint allow you to selec only another heli group, not a ship.

If it has CAS as a role then it can follow ground units, however it can't follow ships

A rescue helicopter would follow carriers. Unfortunately they can't do CAS.
