JazonXD Posted January 4, 2017 Posted January 4, 2017 When I sit in a comfortable position and centre my TIR, I find that, for example, I'm looking too low into the cockpit. Is there a way that I can change the default "centre" of the cockpit so when I centre my TIR it will look there? Thanks. Rabb Posted January 4, 2017 Posted January 4, 2017 No easy way, except maybe Snap view. A lot of old information on this subject can be found here: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=107686&page=4 Have in mind that things have changed in the previous years. For instance, aircrafts folder is now aircraft folder, etc. Also, there was a mod I've been using which did centering for all planes, and one only for Ka-50.
firmek Posted January 4, 2017 Posted January 4, 2017 Actually its really easy, takes 20 seconds to do. Use SnapViews to set the default position of the head as also default view angles. http://en.wiki.eagle.ru/wiki/Snap_views F/A-18, F-16, F-14, M-2000C, A-10C, AV-8B, AJS-37 Viggen, F-5E-3, F-86F, MiG-21bis, MiG-15bis, L-39 Albatros, C-101 Aviojet, P-51D, Spitfire LF Mk. Precog Posted January 4, 2017 Posted January 4, 2017 Is snapviews a permanent solution, or do you have to do it each time you lower up DCS? Check out my 'real world' video series [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
fitness88 Posted January 4, 2017 Posted January 4, 2017 Set your view as you like then press RAlt and 5[num-key-pad] then press 0[NKP] to save.
Fri13 Posted January 4, 2017 Posted January 4, 2017 More nice would be to know how to set default external camera distance something else than object filling the frame.... :-) i7-8700k, 32GB 2666Mhz DDR4, 2x 2080S SLI 8GB, Oculus Rift S. i7-8700k, 16GB 2666Mhz DDR4, 1080Ti 11GB, 27" 4K, 65" HDR 4K.
fitness88 Posted January 7, 2017 Posted January 7, 2017 Sorry I made a mistake in my previous post, Press Num5 to reset your view to the current default. Adjust your view as you wish it to be do not use any snap view keys to do this use mouse. Press RALT+Num0 this will save your new default view.

Pikey Posted January 7, 2017 Posted January 7, 2017 YES! Annoying as hell. You can also keep taking another aircraft type and slot. rather than rejoining the entire thing. Took 5 attempts yesterday until it got right. Also I tend to pause a few seconds, but noit sure if it makes s difference yet. sometimes when i join a MP server my view is screwed up (ie.. too close - or backed way too far back) i try to reset the view and it doesn't work - only "fix" is to exit the game and come back in anyone else have this? release version and open alpha ___________________________________________________________________________ SIMPLE SCENERY SAVING * SIMPLE GROUP SAVING * SIMPLE STATIC SAVING *

Unless you're picking another type of the aircraft for which there is no view config stored in the mission file it'll not make any difference. If the mission files stores the view configuration for a given type of plane you're doomed to fly it this way or to find another server. Changing slots will not help.
