pietpuk Posted January 6, 2017 Posted January 6, 2017 I compared 3 (Huey, Black shark2 and a plane) and where you pay 50 dollars here, on Yuplay it's about 20 dollars. Isn't this a bit strange?
Art-J Posted January 6, 2017 Posted January 6, 2017 Not really. Just an industry-standard regional pricing for Eastern vs Western countries. i7 9700K @ stock speed, single GTX1070, 32 gigs of RAM, TH Warthog, MFG Crosswind, Win10.
pietpuk Posted January 6, 2017 Author Posted January 6, 2017 To me it looks more like a rip off, but besides that: can we, standard west European citizens, order at Yuplay? 1
Art-J Posted January 6, 2017 Posted January 6, 2017 There's a inconclusive thread about the subject on the same page: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=179548 Apparently the keys are not region-locked, but I find it hard to believe - if that was the case, all Westerners would be buying on Russian retailer websites. You can try it out though, the worst that can happen is: a) being prompted that You cannot buy a key if Your IP doesn't belong to a specific region... or b) loosing "only" 20 bucks for a non-working key. i7 9700K @ stock speed, single GTX1070, 32 gigs of RAM, TH Warthog, MFG Crosswind, Win10.
Chrinik Posted January 6, 2017 Posted January 6, 2017 Russian gamers inherently don´t have the budgets to spend shittons of money compared to westerners on average...thus, if you want to sell anything there, you gotta have lower prices. It may look like a rip-off to you, but consider this...buying from a local source (if there is one) supports your local economy. Buying cheaper overseas doesn´t. Cigarettes are cheap as shit in Belarus too, I also bet rent is cheaper, aswell as electricity and gas...that´s got nothing to do with anyone "ripping you off"... 1 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] GCI: "Control to SEAD: Enemy SAM site 190 for 30, cleared to engage" Striker: "Copy, say Altitude?" GCI: "....Deck....it´s a SAM site..." Striker: "Oh...." Fighter: "Yeah, those pesky russian build, baloon based SAMs." -Red-Lyfe Best way to troll DCS community, make an F-16A, see how dedicated the fans really are

Buying software local doesn't support your local source. ED is located in russia so higher price goes straight to russia. And yes thats some kind ripping of. But its the same everywhere with all kind of products. Why are cars produced in Germany more expensive in Germany and not in the states with all the shipping costs add on? Why are pills most expensive in Germany compared to whole Europe. Simple answer: Because you can get the price. If I would like to fly SFM I could get it for free at World of Warplanes. You only need 2 of the following 3: Altitude - Speed - Skill
ED Team BIGNEWY Posted January 6, 2017 ED Team Posted January 6, 2017 Guys no one is ripping you off, industry standard prices is all I see. If you can not afford the price of the module, don't buy it, wait for a sale The price I pay for modules is nothing compared to the joy I get from flying them. you decide as a consumer how and when you spend your money. ED will evaluate the pricing I am sure in the future, every company does. 1 Forum rules - DCS Crashing?
