Thanks for the comments everyone.

 

If anyone can help me make a Modman Addon for this in the same way that walmisWeapons_v2.0.rar is made. Please email me. I'd like it to execute and install all 6 skins at 2048 x 2048 as cdds files.

also, feel free to upload the files that are not modman, just the bmp files (although its larger) it will give us the freedom to install the ones we want and so forth.

MY GOD THIS IS BY FAR YOUR BEST WORK EVER!

 

That is some of the BEST weathering I've ever seen! It's so realistic and natural, your skin makes it seem almost like I'm looking at a brand new Flanker model! The detail is amazing!

Hi would it all so work to make a new TGA file with larger numbers (more pixels). Color and weather the numbers then modify the CMD file to go to the new TGA file that could be placed in to a new CDDS file. I would like to try this but I have not been able to locate the CMD files for the aircraft. It just seams for general use by multi players its better to keep the numbers changeable and not paint them on the aircraft. Just a thought

One thing I have meant to suggest to people doing high-res skins for the Su-27 and Su-33 though, is to get rid of the numbering/markings applied by the nomera.tga file(they look horrible) and just paint these directly on the skin instead.

 

The best way of going about this(getting rid of the external markings) without affecting other aircraft using the nomera.tga, is to open the Su-27 and Su-33 cmd files with a hex editor and change the texture refererence; "nomera.tga" to someting else - e.g. to "no-nom.tga" and then either just leave it at that(if the texture doesn't exist it cannot be applied) or alternatively make a copy of the nomera.tga and name it "no-nom.tga", then errase the alpha channel mask in this and put it into the TempTextures folder.

 

Just a suggestion :) .

I'm busy trying to refit the skins on the new F15 Mod. Wow difficult. Unfortunately there are alot of wierd bits that cant be dtailed because of the stretching and double placements. But I hope it will still turn out ok.

 

I need someone to create me a CDDS file for all 6 Su33 skins in 2048 format before i will release a complete set. Also if someone wants to design a weathered Number and Red Star set to replace the originals in high res That would be awesome.
