I noticed the Mig-29s engine nozzles open and close a bit as you move the throttle through afterburner stages, just as seen on the F-15. However unlike the F-15, the Mig-29s fuel consumption stays the same no matter what stage in afterburner you are.

Is fuel flow modelled in the Mig-29s when in a different stages of afterburner?

The MiG-29 model is WIP and the systems are still normally modelled (not asm or something like that), which will change in the future

 

Thanks razo+r, I guess the nozzle movement is just eye candy at moment.

I have a quick MiG-29S afterburner questions, to. Does the jet have any afterburner lights? As in, is there any way to tell if afterburner is on without going to external view?

Yes. I believe there are two lights above the RPM gauge.

 

Unless I'm mixing it with the Flanker...

Que? If you just barely nudge into the afterburner, you'll hear it come on, and no, it doesn't draw as much fuel as if you firewall it. The line between the two is very thin.

 

Unless I'm ridiculously stupid, because I specifically avoid the second stage afterburner BECAUSE it sucks so much extra fuel.
