Will an interactive training mission like the rocket pod mission ever be made for the rb75?

I have read this forum and watched the tutorial videos in this forum, and I still cannot get the crosshairs to move in the electrical sight after numerous attempts.

I printed the step by step instructions from a post in this forum and followed to the letter because the person who posted the post said this is super easy and laid out 6 simple steps, but I cannot get the crosshairs to move. They remain boresighted.

I pull the trigger on the control stick to uncage the seeker's crosshairs in the ep sight but I just can't get the crosshairs to move.

The dial on the left is moved from NAV to ANF, and the dial on the right is set to RB-75.

The tutorial video that is in this forum, as a sticky post with other tutorials, for the rb75 just says the word, trigger, in the tutorial video but another post by someone who thinks this is super easy uses the word radarstick trigger. I have looked at the button assignment page and made my up/down/left/right arrows as the controls for the radar stick in order to control the crosshairs. BUT in the assignments page I see no word that says radarstick trigger. Is their a separate trigger on the radarstick other than the trigger on the control stick?

Yes, look in the Radar stick category. They're listed as T0, T1 and TV, I think. It's a two-stage trigger; T0 represents the 'unpressed' position, T1 is the first detent, and TV is the fully-pressed position.

If you want to actually use it with a two-stage trigger, you'll need to modify the command configuration (or find one of the posts in this forum with the updated mapping). The existing mapping is for a 3-stage switch (i.e. a button each for T0 and TV, and releasing puts it back to T1, which isn't super useful for most people).

Edit: this thread has the modification needed for using an actual 2-stage trigger for the radar trigger. Second page has a modified file if you just want to replace it rather than modify it yourself.

On the radarstick there is a 3 position switch of A0, A1, A2 which dcs allows me to assign a button to. The 3 position switch that the Adjust Controls (assignments page) page for T0 or TV does not allow me to assign a button to.

When I look at the radarstick I do not see a switch or button labeled T0, TV, or T1.

The tutorial video in the sticky above this thread on the rb75 does not say anything about pressing T0, T1, or TV. Am I correct?

A0/A1/A2 is the radar operation mode (off, PPI, B-scope). The T0/TV/T1 is the trigger on the front of the stick.

I don't know why you can't assign it in the controls menu, but that's what you need to use for operating the Maverick, as well as doing own-position and radar fixes.

Basically you hold it at the first detent (D1) to enable slew-control (using the radar stick), and then pull it the second detent (DV) to command it to lock. Releasing the trigger will cause it to go back to boresight.

I assigned the T1 and TV to the two-stage trigger on my TM Warthog stick just fine, using the non-three-way switch binding. Are you trying to assign the T1 and TV to the keyboard?

If you are looking at the stick itself it has a trigger just like the control stick, T0 is when it is not pressed, T1 is the first trigger detent and TV is fully pressed. They are found in the radar section of the control settings just like all the other buttons on the radar stick. :-)

I don't have Track ir so I can't move my head around and look at the forward side of the radarstick as easily as those of you that have Track ir.

On my Sidewinder joystick I have only 1 button assigned to cycle thru A0, A1, A2, and it works great. I could also assign A0, A1, and A2 to a keyboard key if I wanted to, but it gives me the option to do this on its 3 position switch on the joystick or keyboard by only binding 1 key to it.

As I said earlier, I know where the radarstick key settings (bindings) are located. For T0, T1, and TV it will not allow me to assign the 3 way switch to a keyboard key. So I guess that I am only allowed to assign 2 joystick keys to it and not a single keyboard key or single joystick key to keep it simple?

T0, T1 and TV are not inputs that you would want to cycle through with one button. If the sim allowed you to bind 1 button to cycle through all three inputs, you would have huge navigation problems as everytime you hit TV, when not in RB75 mode, your current waypoint fix would be updated. In the real aircraft releasing the radar stick trigger is T0, pulling the trigger back to the first detent= T1 and pulling the trigger all of the way=TV. So to slew the RB75 you pull the trigger to T1 then move the radar stick to control the slew, once over the target you would pull the trigger all of the way to lock the target, then you'd fire the missile with your flight control stick input. Or if you don't want to lock a target but instead you want to stop slewing and bore sight the missile you would release the trigger=T0. In the sim you need to assign 3 keys or 3 joystick buttons for RB75 control. Assign a button to T0, a button to T1 and a button to TV. These inputs are also used for setting navigation fixes and controlling the cross indicator on the radar screen.

I can't seem to get this right. I assigned the T1 input to trigger first detent and TV to trigger fully depressed. This works with NAV fix taking exactly as described in the manual. But not with Mavericks. Pressing trigger first detent (T1) uncages the seeker and its then slewable. Trigger fully depressed (TV) locks target. But that's it.

Pressing T1 to uncage and then releasing the trigger again (T0) does not boresight the Mav. It does not ground stabilize it either. Don't know what's supposed to happen here. It just remains slewable.

After accidentally locking the wrong target there seems to be no simple way to unlock it or boresight it the only thing that seems to work is to turn around 180 so the seeker can't see the target any more... no a lot of things with the whole maverick T0/T1/TV switches seem off to me.

Is nobody else experiencing this?

The default T0/T1/TV mappings are a bit wonky, this has been discussed since release. It really depends what type of switch(s) you're using. The default mapping for 3 position switches is intended for use with a 3 position switch where the center position is off (such as the boat switch on a WH throttle). This will not work with a 2 stage trigger, because when the trigger isn't pressed, it will default to the T1 position. And the other mapping option is for use with three separate buttons, one for each function. In the custom key mapping thread there are solutions posted for this. I really recommend everyone learn how to create custom keybinds in the .lua files, it adds great flexibility to the sim.

Is it possible to set them to a slider somehow? I would like to have them all in one physical button/trigger/slider if poss:)

I use the boat switch on the warthog throttle for the three different stages.
