VVanks Posted November 11, 2006 Posted November 11, 2006 So I finally bit the bullet and bought Flaming Cliff's over the internet. Waited an hour for it to download (slow internet) using FlashGet. Checked the file sizes, okay perfect. Delete Lockon, fresh install CD. Click the install flaming cliffs file. Next next next ERROR 3!!!! Okay, wait... read online... okay file corruption. That's alright. Redownload... 2 hours later... Click, next next next ERROR 3. Now that is just pissing me off. Hmm anyone have a solution to this problem? You wont find any shortage of friends in these boards. BTW Flamming cliffs downloable is not per custumer. Your activation is, be sure to use the reg tool. It should have installed straighforward. Dont worry youll get it working youll see. I got CD otherwise I would help ya personaly. edit: wooot! 3000th post!!! didnt even noticed it! .

That's why i got the cd version rather than the download version- kinda a hassle to go through IMHO. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

Yikes...this XP x64 acts much like XP did in the pre-SP1 days...but worse. I guess I should have taken note of the fact that all of the bench-marking sites have stuck with good ol' 32-bit XP for testing their Sierra Hotel Conroe rigs.

I have mulitple drives on my PC and install games and such to my D: When I have to redo my pc (i do a lot of testing and screwing around)... how can I get XP to acknowledge my install already there on D:? Or are we stuck into reinstalling from scratch everytime? Thanks, Brett

With everything else going on i would reinstall. Later you might wana take your computer experiments onto another machine. I got banned for a month from the IL2 forums for suggesting that :P I think the mod was slightly power crazy.
