Whiskeybravo Posted February 16, 2017 Posted February 16, 2017 (edited) Hi all, I'm getting a crash with the windows message 'DCS has stopped working' whenever I hit the FLY button to start a mission with the F5E in the latest NTTR Open Alpha. It is fine in 1.5 but whether it a quick start mission, BFM campaign mission or from within the mission editor on NTTR I get the crash. If I uninstall and reinstall the F5E module it will work for one or two occasions but then the crashes start again. All other modules work without any problems. Anyone else having the same issue and how do I go about reporting it as a potential bug? Many thanks in advance for any advice/help. Regards, WB. Edited February 20, 2017 by BIGNEWY TITLE

Erk104 Posted February 16, 2017 Posted February 16, 2017 I am having the same issue but mine is with other modules as well... and I am not receiving log files when the system crashes in this manner. Its almost as if DCS doesn't register a Crash, it simply stops responding.
Whiskeybravo Posted February 17, 2017 Author Posted February 17, 2017 Thanks for the reply SkateZilla, please find the zipped files attached as requested. Regards, WB.Logs.zip
Whiskeybravo Posted February 17, 2017 Author Posted February 17, 2017 And now its just happened in the 1.5 version on the 3rd mission in the training series. :( Logs attached. WB.Logs2.zip

Whiskeybravo Posted February 17, 2017 Author Posted February 17, 2017 Hi there, I'm running Windows Defender and DCS is not running with administrator privileges as far as I can tell by looking at the properties of both the updater exe and the DCS exe. Will try with admin privileges checked and report back. Cheers, WB.
Whiskeybravo Posted February 18, 2017 Author Posted February 18, 2017 Checked with admin privileges enabled but it made no difference! :( WB.
ED Team BIGNEWY Posted February 18, 2017 ED Team Posted February 18, 2017 I use the F-5E a lot and I have not been able to reproduce this. Do you have any unofficial modifications? if so I would do a clean please follow these instructions for which ever version you are using. go into your Eagle Dynamics/DCS World/bin folder. There, hold Left Shift and right click and click "Open Command window here." Then, type the following exactly as printed: DCS_updater.exe cleanup this will delete all non official files then do a dcs repair DCS_updater.exe repair hope it helps, if not let us know 1 Forum rules - DCS Crashing?
