If you want to have a day color which fits all the time, use black. Not compatible with RL but makes things more easy.

Here`s the path:

Mods/aircraft/A 10-C/Cockpit/Scripts/HUD/Indicator/HUD_init.lua

Go to line 383 and change numbers to (0,0,0,255/255)

This will change the HUD color to solid black.

What goes up, must come down !

I think most of us currently fly with a black HUD, it simply works. And if you're flying against ground you can always switch to the yellow night color. You can also bind the stick to your joystick and switch fast between both modes :D

It's an issue with the graphic effects computation in DCS. Normally you would apply the effects to the background (world) first, then the aircraft and finally put the HUD on-top of it. Instead the whole screen is affected by the effects at the same time - making the HUD become blurred with the background as the effects don't know that the HUD font doesn't belong to the background.
