SVK_Fox Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 Hey guys! Last day I flyed on RAF server, and things happened. I flyed two times agains enemy, fired missile and also hited by R-77 without warning by =RAF=NeroZyF. Next time it happened again. Can samobody explain how fire R-77 and dont warn enemy? I Am flying Mig-29C but dont know everything about this plane. Also strange it that I was not locked before hit. And it happened 2times in 10 minutes form guy =RAF=NeroZyF, I asked him but he didnt answered.
Force_Feedback Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 Maybe you had ECM on and he launched the missile with override, but I think you know that already, so I'm clueless. Creedence Clearwater Revival:worthy:
GGTharos Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 Could've been mad dogged and it picked you up right out of RWR coverage. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Reminder: SAM = Speed Bump :D I used to play flight sims like you, but then I took a slammer to the knee - Yoda
Ironhand Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 I suppose he could have mad dogged the missile using launch override. If that were the case, you would not have gotten a launch warning. You should have gotten a brief warning from the TWD, though, once the missile itself locked onto you. There is an exception to this, however. If you were in a steep bank at the time, the Berozia might have remained silent because the system's radar sensors were no longer oriented toward the missile. tflash Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 And what if you fire it from visual mode [6] ? You can launch the R-77 when you get a tone as if it where a heater. i would be surprised if anyone would get a launch warning then. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
GGTharos Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 THen that would be a bug, tflash. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Reminder: SAM = Speed Bump :D I used to play flight sims like you, but then I took a slammer to the knee - Yoda

The system provides detection of radar signals at the following angles: Azimuth: +/- 180 Elevation Range: +/- 30." An ARH missile released from an area outside the receiving limits of the Beryoza will not be detected- thus no warning. A common occurence would be a shot from almost right below you. Swartz (LT) Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 Possibly when he entered the game he changed his loadout and didn't save. Wasn't that a bug or did they fix that? I thought if you didn't save your loadout you could fire and the person wouldn't get any warning or something like that.

Sometimes the answer to a complicated question is very simple. [sIGPIC]http://forums.eagle.ru/attachment.php?attachmentid=43337&d=1287169113[/sIGPIC]
Force_Feedback Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 That is still there? Wow, oh well, fixed payloads are better anyway, and when the clients use them it's even better. Creedence Clearwater Revival:worthy:
