jasonstory44 Posted March 1, 2017 Posted March 1, 2017 Awhile back I had to buy a second TM setup because my HOTAS broke. It left me with a brand new and unused throttle quadrant. I was curious, has anyone ever tried to use two throttle setups and obviously map different axis and commands to the buttons? Is this even possible or would it screw up DCS and confuse it where it's two of the same input devices? Any input appreciated Thanks jason Win 10 Pro, Intel i9 9900k overclocked to 5.1 (water cooled), 64 gb Corsair Dominator platinum RAM (3444 MHz) Titan RTX overclocked and water cooled 1.1 TB SSD 2 TB M.2 SSD TM Warthog Stick and throttle MFG Crosswinds Reverb VR Buttkicker LFE, SimShaker, Jetseat. CrashO Posted March 1, 2017 Posted March 1, 2017 Never tried it (you got the hardware, what stops you?). But it should work without a problem. DCS assigns bindings by hardware ID, not by "type". So using 2 warthog throttles is no different then using a warthog throttles + warthog stick.
walt63211 Posted March 1, 2017 Posted March 1, 2017 I can use a few analog control panel, you should be able to use two throttle valve, will not interfere with each other.

Then report back and tell us if it works.:thumbup: (Alternatively, send me your spare throttle for safe keeping and I'll try it out for you :D)
cichlidfan Posted March 1, 2017 Posted March 1, 2017 I agree with the general consensus, that it will work just fine. I actually have two but never had a reason to try it. Thermal Posted March 1, 2017 Posted March 1, 2017 If you use the second throttle as a default directx device it should work. Running Target to program it? That would be a challenge.
jasonstory44 Posted March 1, 2017 Author Posted March 1, 2017 Thanks guys...yea I know I should of just tried it but that would have involved me not being lazy and breaking it out of storage lol. Then programming some inputs blah blah blah. Not a ton of work I know but I usually get complacent and just jump in the cockpit for a quick hop instead! ☺ Thanks I'll report back Jason Win 10 Pro, Intel i9 9900k overclocked to 5.1 (water cooled), 64 gb Corsair Dominator platinum RAM (3444 MHz) Titan RTX overclocked and water cooled 1.1 TB SSD 2 TB M.2 SSD TM Warthog Stick and throttle MFG Crosswinds Reverb VR Buttkicker LFE, SimShaker, Jetseat. jasonstory44 Posted March 1, 2017 Author Posted March 1, 2017 Okay guys a little update...I attached the second throttlr and it for sure shows up and programs like normal....Though when I sim I can't seem to get it to behave. For example, I've removed an axis inputs for the second throttle...Yet when in the sim and flying, my prop and throttle just slowly die off as if its getting a secondary input from the throttle...though they don't actually seem to be functional when moving the sliders. If I disconnect the second throttle while flying everything immediately goes back to normal. Any thoughts on this? Not sure if its specific to the spitfire as its all I have tried it in. Yurgon Posted March 1, 2017 Posted March 1, 2017 Though when I sim I can't seem to get it to behave. Huh, I'd have guessed it would work like a charm. Just to be sure, when you jump into the sim, did you double-check the axis assignments (ESC -> Adjust Controls)? A common mistake is to set "Game flight mode" to on, but assign axes for "$whatever Sim" instead of "$whatever Game", or vice versa. Many people use two TM Cougar MFDs, which are identical devices, and they can be configured independently. They don't feature axes, but I don't see why axis assignments would be in any way different. I think it should work.
jasonstory44 Posted March 2, 2017 Author Posted March 2, 2017 Ugh. Problem solved...I do t k ow how or why but by fuel flow kept getting switched off. That's what was choking out the engine. Smh You guys were right...works like a charm.
