m1tp2king Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 So I have an nvidia 1080. Why should I update my drivers? Faster performance? More stability.
razo+r Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 more stability (maybe, or at least, it should), improvements, better efficiency between GPU and softwares... lots of things are reasons maybe they have changelogs, if yes, you should read them and then decide
dburne Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 You can also give it a few days and look at reports on the Nvidia forums from user feedback, and decide if you want to upgrade. They come out with updated drivers fairly often these days, and usually small changes within them - some times just for some specific games. JG14_Smil Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 Updates for newer cards can be quite helpful. It seems like once a card gets so old, not so much.
cichlidfan Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 It also depends on what you play. There are often driver updates for newly released games. If you plan to play that game then it is likely that you will want that update.
