First time I told my dad I was going "out to the boat" he asked (in a smart-aleckey way) if we were trapping on subs now. I told him we referred to the CV as "the boat" to piss off the 'shoes and he cracked up. :D He was old school brown shoe navy (CVA-47).

 

Of course, the submariners just call all of them, "targets." :thumbup:

P-3s did carry Harpoons. Those do pack a wallop! :D

I live on Otis ANG for a stretch and really enjoyed when the P-3's from Brusnwick would come down and do touch and goes. It was neat to see them up close.

I've shot a Harpoon and an AGM-65F.
