Another question

Hi there!

 

I'm about to buy this one. I love my F-5 and I can handle her pretty well; I can start, take off, fly, navigate and land with no problem. I can even shoot down russian bombers. However I suck at dogfighting. I was wondering how hard is this campaign for people like me? Am I going to stuck on mission 1? I know this costs only 10$, but I want to know is it money spent well...

Can you use the mission editor? Try a few head on engagements with various aircraft on the 2nd highest AI setting and see how it goes. Part of the fun is overcoming a challenge. If you win (even once in awhile) then you'll manage the campaign probably.

I bought this BFM Campaign. I thought I could navigate. Apparently I can not. Briefing maps and instructions make no sense to me. Nice :(

I'm wiser now. But there is lot to learn. For example how do you know what heading to turn after you reach the radial?

This thread has some good advice on TACAN navigation. It's definitely harder than having pre-programmed waypoints and a HUD heading.

 

Once you learn, it will become second nature and a good backup if you do lose your NAV systems in the more modern fighters.

Yes, I have read all the tutorials and watched tons of youtube videos, but I still don't get it. :D I feel stupid.

I'm using kneeboard all the time, marking my position with Control+K. This campaign and ACM are great.
