I guess this is actually mission 8

IMC flight to carrier with cargo and only FM for homing - no precision approach. Yeah.. that'd be suicide mission in real world.....

Just thought what's wrong with mission 10 (because this seems a very interesting one...just started it yesterday but didn't have the time to finish. So I'll have to redo it today).

I agree, mission 8 is very, very tough and it took me several attempts (around 8 to 9). But it's not that difficult to find the ships with FM. And you can also see lights in the distance. Once you get close, you can really clearly see the ships. You simply have to check your instruments all the time to make sure you're not crashing ;-)

To me, it was probably the maximum difficulty, close to the border of frustration. But in the end, I enjoyed having done the mission. Mission 9 will be easier again.

But overall, I'm glad that the campaign is challenging every now and then. It forces us to fly under different circumstances.

Nothing is impossible for Cpt. Koutsos and Maj. Karabelas :)

Yes it's the most difficult mission and as mentioned in the briefing it shouldn't be carried out by a Huey without NVG.

But the scenario sends you there as the only available chopper for this task at the time so in the end you will probable feel nice when you complete your task.

Well, well. Made it, from the first attempt, albeit with a little bit of help :) My Huey looked like that upon landing. The cargo was intact, but the landing drop was too severe. But guys on Vinson were kind enough to do the quick patching to fly back to Argo. I figured that for that kind of circumstances it was more than acceptable :D

The campaign is great so far, I just hope that the officers in Greek Navy are not such arrogant mad arses as they are depicted here ;)

just played this mission now. worse than mission 4,

i am suprised that we were allowed to use our gauges. i think you should have disabled them due to pitot tube malfunction, and radar altmeter also should have been broken. like this, it would have been better. or maybe a meteor rain damage to the rotor blades, so we could have found our way while spinning.

i decided to skip mission after taking off, but i thougt that there was no harm to turn nvg on after already deciding to skip mission. luckily despite some "my eyes" voiceovers, nothing happened. and finished mission while nvg is on.

i hope there won't be any more missions like this.

:D

Don't underestimate yourself. The campaign was tested (apart from the ED testing team) from various players that had different experience. One of them had just bought the Huey and managed to complete the missions. He had to try more than the others but still managed to get it through in the end and got rewarded by the experience he earned. Someone who completed the UN Campaign and flies the Huey since it's release should have no problem.

Some of the missions may seem unrealistic. The thing is that similar missions were executed in real life even if they are not much discussed in public. There were wrong orders but still the crews had to execute them as they couldn't just "skip" their task. Not 100% accurate of course as this is a simulator that you can just restart the mission, but still at the same dangerous level.

Sadly there is a recent real life example in which a Huey crashed while flying low in similar conditions and task as mission 4. It crashed on power cables.

i turned the brightness of the monitor at 100% to see something, and my eyes went in tears and said "my eyes!" then decided to get my pilot to say this "my eyes" instead of me :D and it worked. thanks for the bug :)

i am very sad that because this campaign is coming to an end after 5 missions later.

I did it in the first try without problems. But I had it a little easier since I fly in VR and the nights in VR are not as dark as on a monitor.

I really like the Campaign so far!!!
