Just tried flying a night mission in the Huey, hoping that someone can help.

With NVG enabled, the interior is just massively too bright. Even without NVG, the contrast between the interior and the exterior is so dramatically different, that I could see basically nothing.

I've turned down all the cockpit lighting that I could find to mind. Seems that I still have the whole cockpit lit. I'm assuming that I'm missing something really obvious. Any good suggestions?

You turn the lights all the way to max and your NVGs will be blinded, you gotta crank those things down to about 1/4 turn. Your dome light should be green and not white. Personally I just fly with the dome lights off if I have to use NVGs, the gauge lights are more than bright enough to make the NVGs useful.

Thanks guys. I'd missed the fact that the light switch for white/green illumination is also the "off". Just me being inept. Now resolved.

Really enjoyed my first night flight.
