Yeah, that would be nice indeed. I have had to redo my logbook too many times with nothing to show for after years in DCS. :)

utterly meaningless, what would it prove? i can just park my aircraft in the air on ap and then come around boasting about how i have 5600 hours on the a-10. i can shoot my friends down in mp over and over and rake in the killcount like there's no tomorrow. and dave snodgrass could fly for a few hours and nobody would even suspect looking at stats.

all automated logging does is add more noise that we have to slog through to find out the truth. the internet is already full enough of it, don't add to the problem.

if you want to tell someone you have x hours logged, you go and tell them yourself.

i dont want to tell anyone, i am just interested in how much time i have spent "playing" the sim. its is very similar in idea to an online id for ps or xbox, pretty pointless but still allows tracking of time spent etc

That is one of the advantages Steam provides if you use it for DCS...

But really, I would rather not know how many hours I've wasted looking at the mission loading screen. What is the point in it? One does not play DCS with time spent in mind, eh? We play it for enjoyment and experiences. A count telling you your game has been on for 672 hours tells you nothing... except that the game has been on for that time. 200 hours of that could be spent in menus.
