I purchased the F5E module.

Started the game, logged in.

I had a notification on modules.

|Clicked that, installed the module.

all worked well, no issues.|

The next time, and every time since when I log in now I get the message:

Invalid serial number

I checked and the serial number that it is showing IS NOT the serial number for the F5E.. I don't know what its for..

Other than adding that module I've made no other changes..

I DID have the steam version, but I removed in and did a fresh install of beta, but that was weeks ago and this did not occur then..

I still cant figure this out.

The CD key its listing as "invalid" does not match any of my modules, (A10, FC3, Viggen, F5, Nevada)

this started popping up after installing the F5, but the F5 key is not the key that is listed.

I want to get the F86 now but until this is resolved I cant.

I reinstalled the game.

Launched the game, prompted to DL my modules, download modules.

restarted the game.. INVALID SERIAL NUMBER.

And the serial number doesn\t match any of the modules I have installed.

can no longer log in.

Ok I actually need some support on this shit, I'm out of ideas and patience at this point.

I did notice I not longer have the M2000, which I paid $50 for on steam.

Same game, same platform, same computer, but I guess Im supposed to buy it again now for the non steam version huh... seems legit. :music_whistling:

Hi

where did you buy the key from?

first check the licence key here https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/personal/licensing/

the M2000 if purchased on steam can only be used on steam

If you need more help contact support https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/support/

Log on to ED website, click"profile" on top right of page. on the bottom left of that page there is a license check box. copy and past the license # in question there, and it will tell you the status of it. however it sounds like there might be a conflict of ED and Steam versions and/or modules, as they were having problems with piriacy I believe and so they separated the steam and ED versions you can find more info in the forums and newsletters. also try copy and paste the serial number ED sent you in the confirmation E-Mail they sent when you bought it in the module manager and see if that helps

May be unrelated but similar...But the "same" thing happened to me...i thought it was the Viggen but it turned out to be the P51 campaign of which I had two keys, one which was gifted and I had the wrong one in there.

Just saying make sure the right keys are used. I have to say it doesnt help to be locked out from logging in because of that type error. Just adds to the confusion and frustration.

I submitted a ticket, and have been back and forth a few times, and the situation is even more confusing.

According to ED, who sent a screenshot, it shows I have COMBINED ARMS installed, that is what the serial number references.

He told me to disable combined arms.

weird thing is, I don't have combined arms, and never have, never even messed with it, so it isn't listed as an installed module at all. (sent them screenshot as well)

I thought maybe it was Steam related so I disabled all modules through steam and then completely uninstalled the steam version, made no difference.

I'm currently waiting for a reply.

This is funky
