Does using the TMW feel stupid using it with other jets?

Nope! It feels very comfortable with them all, including the WWII prop planes. You just have to set the controls accordingly. I'm not even using th TARGET software, just direct mode. This way I can switch planes inside a server without any problem.

I just moved from CH to TMW and love it every minute.

All the best,

Not to me, I use it primarily for the Spitfire and the KA-50.

Works great for me.

Just gonna ask my question here too:

I wanted to buy this but am worried since i dont really like heavy stick.

Is is much tighter/return to center then the T1600M? if so, does it still work good with helo's ?

Is it easy to maybe spring mod for lighter throw? (Can use extension ofcourse, but id like to use the stick on my desk) (I move stuff around alot, so a dedicated lower mount is not gonna work for me)

I put a 7.5 cm extension on mine which really takes a lot less effort.

Even the stock length is marginal on a desk. The spring stiffness and reaching up to move it can get to you over time.

There are different springs and lengths available.

There are a lot of beautiful Sticks out there.

I bought my second wartog stick and I'd probably be dumb enough to buy a third.

The gimble issues are real over time.

The buttons on this second stick seem to be quite inferior to what the first one has.

I suspect there has been some quality control detrimental competitive pricing of components going on and it's not the best for the product right now.

Thrustmaster, you know you have an issue and you have done nothing to rectify the problem. Shame on you!

The pinky switch on my throttle is getting wobbly..

My stick and throttle gets very very heavy use for the record. Any gaming or simming played by me is stick and throttle at least a few hours a day.

My last stick lasted about 1000 hours before stiktion.

I Love my Hotas Wartog setup for now.

Surely anyone who buys one now knows of the issues with them and must be willing to accept that. I keep hoping someone will come up with a great fix or they make an updated model with a decent gimble.

I use it for the Huey and I love the fact that I can map a lot of the cockpit controls to it even though it isn't realistic. Oh, having a five inch extension makes it work quite well for helos.

Can i assign the Hotas buttons to different things including the toggle switches and stuff on the bass of the Warthog

Yes. Although the switches can be problematic without either modding the joystick lua or using TARGET. This is due to the nature of switches on any controller.

I use it for the F15 currently, although I will probably trade out the A-10 stick in favor or the F-18 stick (to use on the A-10 base) once it and the Hornet are released by TM and ED.

One day I will also learn to fly the A-10 (been saying that for years, but I'm an A2A junkie), and then it will be useful. Never found it weird using it for the F-15 either...

Honestly if I'm flying the warthog ill use those buttons on the base. But I have a button box from dsd.

Can the hats and all the boat switches on both throttle and stick be set in game

Yes, you can assign then in game controls - include with more than one function per switch/button/HAT using "shift" (modifiers) and "mode" (switches), but

(TmW) throttle base buttons are ON-OFF or ON-OFF-ON toggle switches, what for send command in OFF position require:

- Use TARGET (or other suitable keymapper) for keyboard emulation in switch OFF position.

- Edit DCSW LUA adding function for OFF position - Down in LUA code.
