I cant get an RB-15F launch autorization.

[sOLVED] -- See post #10 below --> https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3246425&postcount=10

Bx6=492413N,005952W

Bx7=492241N,010852W

Bx8=492209N,010938W

Bx9=492133N,011014W

How I enter the coordinates.

1. Turn dial mode ro REF/LOLA.

2. Set data IN/OUT switch to IN, the displays then shows 000000

3. Input coordinates, starting with 492209N,010938W ( Bx8 ).

--> first the 010938 value

--> then 492209

4. press the Bx button to the righthand panel.

5. Press 8 on the numeric keypad (to assign to Bx8 ).

6. Set IN/OUT to OUT.

Repeating above procedure, for other waypoints.

After takeoff;

-- Set radar mode to ANF

-- Turn on radar

-- Set weapons dial to attack

-- leave the release modes toggleswitches to defaults.

-- Check QFE .

-- Fly to height <>1,000m and >=15km from WP6

PROBLEM;

-- RED light above radar, meaning, no release. :helpsmilie:

What did i do wrong?

Maybe my Bx-waypoints are too close to eachother?

Note;

The data cartridge isnt loaded.

Your bx8 is too Close from the coast. I don't know exactly the minimum distance but try with bx8 on the sea and it will be worked ;).

Iv've moved Bx9 which allowed a launch.

Now the missile explodes immediatley after finishing the Bx7 turn.:joystick:

I've test also in DCS 1.5.7 Update 1 (1.5.7.8899.335). same thing.

Bx6=374312E,443634N (descent)

Bx7=380153,443156 (turn)

Bx8=380116,443439 (target)

Bx9=380120,444132 (self destruct)

Total distance: <=40km

Using above, releasing th missle above Novorssijsk airbase, it explodes after turning Bx7.

The Bx9 waypoint is like >=20km away. What am i doing wrong?

I've done sum hit-and-miss testing.

* Moving the Bx7 wyapoint will relativley slew Bx8. (using TV controllers). Menaing, that moving the Bx7turnpoint autmatically relocates the Bx8.

* BX6 can only move up-down.

* Waypoints must be >=8km from eachother, otherwise red light (no launch)

* Max traveldistance is <>70km

xxJohnxx & Crash Liobi' tutorials are basic, doesnt mention the launch parameters.

My testing is unrelaiable. Does sum1 have a summarized lsit of RB-15F parameters do/donts?

Things I know about: max range 70km

Also reading the manual I found:

Altitude warning light
In mode ANF, the light will be lit if:
• Target position (Bx8) not defined
• Set course change is > 135°
• The sum of the ordered course changes is > 135°
• Missile time of flight to the self-destruct point (Bx 9) is < 30 seconds.
In all these cases, the weapon release is inhibited when the altitude warning light is lit.

Also keep in mind that Bx6 is not actually a waypoint the missile will fly to, it will fly towards Bx7 as the first point.

Check the manual starting at page 325 for the RB15.

@Lazyboot.

I can launch and sumhow fewer self-destucts. Even when i'm definitley in range.

However, some weird behaviours.

1. Missiles self-destructs when player dies.

2. Moving the Bx7 turnpoint using TV-stick in AKT/POS-mode, will cause the missile to fly to the new turnpoint, but then its seaker turns relative to target location. Meaning, misses the target.

3. After moving Bx7 the missile would nosedive into the water a few seconds after the turn, 99% of the time.

Is it me doing sumthing wrong here?

How does the waypoints work?

Does the missile in fact, after launch, go to BX7, then heads to BX9?

[sOVLED] Rb-15F launch procedure

I think I nailed the RB-15F

My learnings;

1. Before takeoff, manually enter Bx8 coordinates first, then enter Bx6, Bx7, Bx9 to be <>5km from Bx8. Why? Coz when u create Bx8, all other waypoints will be created too. When u then slew Bx8 using the TV-stick u may not see them. Irritating.

After manually entering the waypoints, u can much easier move them with TV stick.. provided u see them on radar.

2. U can launch missiles at differnt targets. first setup the Bx8, launch in enkel, move Bx8 and launch again. You can use same Bx7

3. Slewing Bx8 using TV-stick automagically slews Bx6, Bx7 and Bx9. This may cause NO LAUNCH red light.

4. The Bx6 will (usually be in a straight line between u and Bx7, It maybe even behind u.

5. The Bx6 always is in a straight line between u and Bx7, keep that in mind when u launch from over land. best is ofcoz, to launch over sea, or vrey close to sea. usually i have Bx6 <>8km from Bx7 so less likely to crash into hilly terrain. Kutaisi-area is relative flat. should be fine launching from there to sea.

What happens when u launch.

- The missile wil always fly straight to Bx7 from your current position, at launch altitutde.

- It wil turn at Bx7, scan towards Bx8, if it finds nothing at Bx8 it will turn towards Bx9

NO LAUNCH red light when;

- BX9 is too close to Bx8, i.e. the Bx9 cross is touching the Bx8 circle'.

- BX9 is too sharp angel from Bx8, sumthing like >90 degrees.

- BX7 is too sharp angel from Bx8, sumthing like >90 degrees.

- Bx7 and Bx9 should be in sorta straight line to each other, small curve is allowed

- Launching >=2,000m ASL.

- A launch authirised maybecome No LAUNCH when u slew DX8, and other w

- U overfly Bx6 and its behind u.

- U are too close to Bx7 (dunno exactly how close)

Below is a launch that works.
