Baz000 Posted October 24, 2017 Posted October 24, 2017 unless i'm mistaken, the flight control limiter can be controlled in the real jet by pulling the wheel brake handle while there is no weight on wheels... Well, currently in the sim, this does not work this way and the only way to activate it is with the "Y" key. Also, it is not possible to map any joystick controls to this key in the controls settings
Angel101 Posted October 25, 2017 Posted October 25, 2017 (edited) Yes! I was getting mad about this. I see I´m not the only one with this problem. I find a workaround to solve this: Open this file (C:\DCS World\Mods\aircraft\Flaming Cliffs\Input\su-27\keyboard\default.lua) with notepad++ copy this line (or copy from here directly): {combos = {{key = 'Y'}}, down = iCommandPlane_HOTAS_LeftThrottleButton, up = iCommandPlane_HOTAS_LeftThrottleButton_Off, name = _('Stick Limiter Override'), category = _('Flight Control')}, And put into: C:\DCS World\Mods\aircraft\Flaming Cliffs\Input\su-27\joystick\default.lua) Below the last line of flight controls. Then you can bind this control to any device. Happy flight! Edit: In the real jet IIRC the pilot go through that limiter by brute force on stick, not pulling the wheel brake handle... we have this button because it´s difficult to simulate in our home sticks. Esac_mirmidon Posted October 25, 2017 Posted October 25, 2017 In the real jet there is a switch to turn off the límiter. Pulling hard on the stick is not an easy thing in combat. Frostie Posted October 25, 2017 Posted October 25, 2017 There was no dedicated button to simulate this extra pull previously so the brake was used. In the last few updates ED have now implemented a seperate control line that you need to add a button to, in other words the brake no longer controls this as it has its own dedicated switch. I don't remember exactly but I think it is called stick limiter override. "[51☭] FROSTIE" #55 'Red 5'.
