Count Sessine Posted December 5, 2017 Posted December 5, 2017 Hi all I just tested the PD settings in the Harrier and can report that the ingame PD does not seem to have an effect. Only the Steam VR supersampling setting does anything now. I'm on a Vive.
hansangb Posted December 6, 2017 Posted December 6, 2017 So when setting the Steam setting, there was noticeable visual difference, but not when using the PD in game setting? hsb HW Spec in Spoiler --- i7-10700K Direct-To-Die/OC'ed to 5.1GHz, MSI Z490 MB, 32GB DDR4 3200MHz, EVGA 2080 Ti FTW3, NVMe+SSD, Win 10 x64 Pro, MFG, Warthog, TM MFDs, Komodo Huey set, Rverbe G1
OneSlip Posted December 6, 2017 Posted December 6, 2017 I felt like it’s not as clear? What version you talking about 1.5 or 2.1?
Count Sessine Posted December 7, 2017 Author Posted December 7, 2017 I felt like it’s not as clear? What version you talking about 1.5 or 2.1? I'm on 1.5 here with the Harrier. The in-game slider does nothing. The external Steam VR slider lowers frames per second noticeably so something is definitely happening. As for quality you may have a point. Even with the external slider maxed out I don't see a clear improvement although it can be difficult to gauge inside the headset.
M1Combat Posted December 8, 2017 Posted December 8, 2017 You should see a very clear text readability improvement inside the headset with the slider maxed out. The most noticeable change I could point out is the M2K radar screen. (A-10C HUD text in the lower right is second). However the last time I flew the a10 is did notice something wanky. I'll need to check if that is indeed the PD thing you describe. Knock-Knock Posted December 9, 2017 Posted December 9, 2017 Tried editing the options.lua in C:\Users\Username\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Config ? Edit with notepad++ and see if that makes a difference.
