Tuniing radios nevada

Hi, I've been having issues tuning the radios for the ATC in nttr, for instance they were listed as:

 

one of the Nevada bases

38.6

118

250.05

3.85

 

which radio do I use ? thanks for any help. :)

You're best bet is to use VHF AM (118 MHz) or UHF (250.05 MHz) radios.

Also, take a look at the manual regarding the radios. They probably look a bit intimidating at first, but it only takes a little practice to remember which radio is used for which frequency range, and how to turn them on. Besides, if you dial in a freq that that radio can't handle, you'll hear a humming noise, indicating that you did something wrong.

 

Finally, make sure to push the correct keys.

 

VHF AM: HOTAS Mic Switch Forward

UHF: HOTAS Mic Switch Down

VHF FM: HOTAS Mic Switch Aft

 

You can also double check the radio by looking at the radio menu popup. It'll show the name of the radio that will be used for the next call you make.

Basically, I just zero in on the one that's in a 100 range, as only the VHF AM can operate in that band. All the ATCs have AM stations, and IIRC that's the radio actual Hog pilots tend to use.
