VAICOM PRO plugin for VoiceAttack

Not on ant phone teamspeak everytime I try it gives me trouble connecting might be my network as i share a connection. I’m not much of a multiplayer i prefer my own thing normally. I’m about to buy the next part of my simpit the seat. I got the jetseat cushion, rift vr, pft puma for helo controls waiting on permanent fight control to be released by vkb in the meantime I will use a tm wh hotas for most fighterslooking into honeycomb yoke and throttle for ga/comm i have a mad cats driver controls if i can get va and ssa to work ill be happy and when my speedmaster flight arrives ill be able to sit down and concentrate on flying the different mods i have.

 

Note this is the only software problem I’m having once I get this figured out I’ll be able to concentrate on the flying until the new hardware arrive tm hotas Monday, vkb stick next month, speedmaster flight next month I guess with the two week lead time they advertise and shipping to the USA from Europe.

 

Question do you have to enter the Viacom Pro and chatter keys everytime or does it hold them in memory?

Chatter WWII Theme

 

I just purchased VAICOM PRO/Chatter and playing around with it for the first time. Everything seems to be working well, except the Chatter Theme WWII. I get no chatter when I select it, all the others work fine. I've tried outside DCS and while running DCS. Is there some setup I'm missing for that one?

Probably not completely related but has anything happened to the Harrier radios with Vaicom? It’s been a few weeks since I’ve flown it and haven’t changed anything but I can’t get any response anymore between the tanker and the correct response in VA. I’ve checked and checked again the correct radio frequencies. Chief, flight and ATC seem to work fine. Easy comms is off and on have been checked and are the same. Cheers

I’m going through the Viacom user manual and verified my settings and I’m going through the keyword training right now but some words are not being recognized and some words I have no idea how to pronounce.

 

What do you do when you come to these words?

first sorry for my bad English.

 

I bought the Vaicom 2.5 pro from Hollywood. Thanks for all the work.

 

Now I have a problem. in my communication menu is the beginning of communication with # and not with \.

 

I have read the instructions on how to change the information in the Voice Attack editor.

 

I make the following steps gem. Manual:

 

- Go into Voice Attack

- Open profile edit

- go to category Process Management (I do not find this category)

 

If I find these, I can change everything I have to.

 

Please help me:)

It’s mainly the Russian names that I have a problem wth not knowing how to enuouceate I had troubles with some English orbs not being recognized but I use skipped the Russian names as I had no ide how to say anything besides Moscow

I guess you could try something like iTranslate to get the correct pronunciation then simply record that in Windows speech recognition

Also right now I’m using a studio boom arm mic but I don’t see it working out like I hoped once I complete my simpit. What mics are you using please?

Just the standard oculus rift cv1 mic, which is very good actually. I used to use the Logitech G930 headset when I used trackir with my A-10C simpit, which was also very good. If you use pc speakers alongside your standalone mic, that may cause interference. You’d be better of trying to get your hands on an integrated one. I also used an integrated cheapo headset on eBayfor around £10 on eBay which did the job nicely

Currently it is set for sound out to rift speakers and recording on boom mic or the proper head mounted mic without speakers. Wireless hopefully

Still doesn't work...

I'll add I have free edition of both VA and VAICOM. I wanted to try but obviously it's not going to work unfortunately :(

You need to have keyboard shortcuts enabled in VA (click on the keyboard icon in the VA window if it has a red sign).

Also you must have imported the correct profile i.e. 'VAICOM PRO for DCS World' as per the install instructions.

To import profiles you'll need to have the VA registered version.

Finally it worked (although I only imported the first 20 commands because I use an unregistered version of VA for trying purposes), but I don't know why it didn't work yesterday. I must have done sthg wrong obviously...

Vaicom Pro, as a registered user I have a question. Is there a way to turn off my in game voice when using the Comms Menus WITHOUT using any other functions of Vaicom Pro??

 

I like to verbalize commands / requests and dont want to hear it repeated. But I like my current ways of using Voice Attack and dont feel the need to add any other Vaicom functions.

 

If it can ONLY be done by Vaicom Pro, what is the easiest way to implement it without using any other Vaicom functions? Instructions appreciated. :)

Hollywood, the player comments don't show up when the box is checked in Pref obviously but the response still shows by ATC etc. Is there a way of removing those that you know of? Cheers

Subtitles you mean? You can switch those on/off in DCS options - audio section.

What's interesting though is that setting does not remove these dialog tab bars that you sometimes see pop up top left of the screen.

I may have a look at some point to see if these can be hacked to invisible also.
