moggel
Training with the P-51D here and I very often find that my engine is failing. What happens is I hear the engine starts stuttering and a few moments later my throttle becomes useless and I am on the glide. When this happens the fuel pressure is always zero. What I have checked: 1. Booster pump is ON 2. There is fuel left in the active tank Is there something else I need to think about or could I be managing my engine wrong somehow? i7-3930K CPU @ 3.20GHz; 16Gb DDR3; GeForce GTX 1070; Windows 10; TM Warthog HOTAS
Lixma 06
Sputtering sounds like fuel starvation but check if it's anything like this.... https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=197628 Try and save a .TRK of it happening.
Art-J
Defnitely sounds like running out of fuel. Are you sure the tank selector is in correct position (a reminder - londer arm is the handle, shorter arm is the pointer)? Try flipping it to other tank when that happens. i7 9700K @ stock speed, single GTX1070, 32 gigs of RAM, TH Warthog, MFG Crosswind, Win10.
Captain Orso
Is this right after an air-start? Or after flying for some minutes? Could it be that your fuel cock is not open? VH-Rock
Check that you have the Carb set to 'Warm Air'. Could be the Carb freezing and starving the engine of fuel.
