Bloodhound57 Posted January 6, 2018 Posted January 6, 2018 I have been having an issue with my Rift in DCS. It seems like the axis are reversed. When I move me head to look closer it backs away and when I back away it moves closer. The left to right axis is fine. It was happening with my old computer and since building a new one it is doing the same? Anyone else have this happen? Thank you in advance! dburne Posted January 6, 2018 Posted January 6, 2018 Is it only in DCS? How does it do in Oculus Home and other games? Bloodhound57 Posted January 6, 2018 Author Posted January 6, 2018 I just reinstalled the software and went through the calibration. Same stuff. ____________________________________________________ PC: ASROCK Z370 Gaming K6 | Intel i7 8700K | GeForce 2080TI | 32GB GeSkill 3200 RAM | GeForce 2080TI | 500GB Samsung 850 EVO M.2 | 1TB Samsung 860 EVO M.2 ____________________________________________________ FLIGHT STUFF: Rift S | Warthog Base | Virpil Base | Hornet Grip | A-10 Grip | Cougar Grip | Virpil F-14 Grip | Cougar MFD's | A-10C UFC | Saitek Flight Panels | MFG Crosswind Rudder Pedals
dburne Posted January 6, 2018 Posted January 6, 2018 Sounds like you may have a conflict in there somewhere. Check your all your running programs. Also are you running the latest Nvidia drivers? Any type of reshader for DCS or other mods? Is this in release version of Oculus Home, or the new Oculus Home Beta ( Public Test Channel)? Bloodhound57 Posted January 6, 2018 Author Posted January 6, 2018 I am running the BETA software. I have the latest NVIDIA drivers. I have not plugged in any other USB device into this computer as of yet. I literally built the computer, installed DCS, and tried the RIFT after I installed the system software. ____________________________________________________ PC: ASROCK Z370 Gaming K6 | Intel i7 8700K | GeForce 2080TI | 32GB GeSkill 3200 RAM | GeForce 2080TI | 500GB Samsung 850 EVO M.2 | 1TB Samsung 860 EVO M.2 ____________________________________________________ FLIGHT STUFF: Rift S | Warthog Base | Virpil Base | Hornet Grip | A-10 Grip | Cougar Grip | Virpil F-14 Grip | Cougar MFD's | A-10C UFC | Saitek Flight Panels | MFG Crosswind Rudder Pedals
dburne Posted January 6, 2018 Posted January 6, 2018 On your monitor, look at the devices tab in the settings for the Rift, see if it shows any error messages on the sensors. Also check all your controls mapping in DCS, particular the axis mapping. Make sure there are no duplicates showing in there ( DCS tends to do this on new installs). 1 Don B EVGA Z390 Dark MB | i9 9900k CPU @ 5.1 GHz | Gigabyte 4090 OC | 64 GB Corsair Vengeance 3200 MHz CL16 | Corsair H150i Pro Cooler |Virpil CM3 Stick w/ Alpha Prime Grip 200mm ext| Virpil CM3 Throttle | VPC Rotor TCS Base w/ Alpha-L Grip| Point Control V2|Varjo Aero|

Bloodhound57 Posted January 9, 2018 Author Posted January 9, 2018 I do not. It seems to have resolved itself. I do not know what was going on! Thanks for the input and help guys. ____________________________________________________ PC: ASROCK Z370 Gaming K6 | Intel i7 8700K | GeForce 2080TI | 32GB GeSkill 3200 RAM | GeForce 2080TI | 500GB Samsung 850 EVO M.2 | 1TB Samsung 860 EVO M.2 ____________________________________________________ FLIGHT STUFF: Rift S | Warthog Base | Virpil Base | Hornet Grip | A-10 Grip | Cougar Grip | Virpil F-14 Grip | Cougar MFD's | A-10C UFC | Saitek Flight Panels | MFG Crosswind Rudder Pedals
spike2450 Posted January 10, 2018 Posted January 10, 2018 I run the oculus software in administration mode so it doesn't auto start and go straight to DCS and it works fine.
Fri13 Posted January 15, 2018 Posted January 15, 2018 I just reinstalled the software and went through the calibration. Same stuff. Don't go through the setup, but go through the calibration. The calibration tool is a separated program from Olucus. https://www.vrheads.com/how-fix-oculus-rift-calibrations-problems i7-8700k, 32GB 2666Mhz DDR4, 2x 2080S SLI 8GB, Oculus Rift S. i7-8700k, 16GB 2666Mhz DDR4, 1080Ti 11GB, 27" 4K, 65" HDR 4K.
outlawal2 Posted January 15, 2018 Posted January 15, 2018 And if it resolved itself, that sounds to me like a sensor issue.. I concur on the recalibration.. (the sensors can be a REAL PITA at times..) "Pride is a poor substitute for intelligence." RAMBO
