JIMJAM Posted January 10, 2018 Posted January 10, 2018 Just jumped into Oculus VR and before I go diving in trying to troubleshoot and searching the forums with eyes that are already sore is the Gazelle having serious issues in VR? During my initial "WOW" and trying all the aircraft the Gaz would not even load and hard crash my system requiring a restart. No issues before. Either from scratch or simply swapping aircraft from a saved mission, 2 point whatever the latest is in Nellis refuses to even load it and I get a black screen.

FragBum Posted January 10, 2018 Posted January 10, 2018 No problem wit Gazelle in 2.2.x latest in Rift VR. Switching to the Huey will most times cause DCS 2.2.x to crash also seem to get regular crashes in MP not specific to any helicopter just random crashes. As others have said try repair from Windows start Eagle Dynamics repair "your Version" where "your version is the version you want to repair. Otherwise all good in VR Control is an illusion which usually shatters at the least expected moment. Gazelle Mini-gun version is endorphins with rotors. See above. Currently rolling with a Asus Z390 Prime, 9600K, 32GB RAM, SSD, 2080Ti and Windows 10Pro, Rift CV1. bu0836x and Scratch Built Pedals, Collective and Cyclic.

Seeing that it appears to be the only one with issues I am going to enjoy my honeymoon phase with VR before I go tinkering with stuff and possibly ruin it. IRL I flew helis and would kill for either a Ranger or even better a H500. VR to me at it's current quality is ideal for low and slow with lots of "stuff". Jim

HP G2 Reverb (Needs upgrading), Windows 10 VR settings: IPD is 64.5mm, High image quality, G2 reset to 60Hz refresh rate. set to OpenXR, but Open XR tool kit disabled. DCS: Pixel Density 1.0, Forced IPD at 55 (perceived world size), DLSS setting is quality at 1.0. VR Driver system: I9-9900KS 5Ghz CPU. XI Hero motherboard and RTX 3090 graphics card, 64 gigs Ram, No OC... Everything needs upgrading in this system!. Vaicom user and what a superb freebie it is! Virpil Mongoose T50M3 base & Mongoose CM2 Grip (not set for dead stick), Virpil TCS collective with counterbalance kit (woof woof). Virpil Apache Grip (OMG). MFG pedals with damper upgrade. Total controls Apache MPDs set to virtual Reality height. Simshaker Jet Pro vibration seat.. Uses data from DCS not sound... goodbye VRS.
JIMJAM Posted January 11, 2018 Author Posted January 11, 2018 Appears to might have been a recent 5th of Jan Nvidia driver. A quick check and the boards had a lot of nasty issues. Typical as those with no issues don't even look but I have had some wierd things going on. The inability to reboot or even shut down. Comp still does it from time to time. Asus mob Z170 deluxe. Went back one driver date . Gaz loaded and the 1st aircraft that I actually got cross eyed on and IRL would have been turning green.
