SpeedStick Posted January 25, 2018 Posted January 25, 2018 Hmm, look interesting. Kinda similar to the Geko Systems platform. "Hard to imagine bigger engine. its got a beautiful face and an arse built like sputnik." - Pikey AKA The Poet, on 37 Viggen.
hannibal Posted January 26, 2018 Posted January 26, 2018 i backed this kickstarter. i feel that the design shows promise... find me on steam! username: Hannibal_A101A http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197969447179

Mr_sukebe Posted January 26, 2018 Posted January 26, 2018 I thought that looked pretty damn cool. I'd like a higher back, and more details on the mounts for a HOTAS and screen, but otherwise, very promising. 7800x3d, 5080, 64GB, PCIE5 SSD - Oculus Pro - Moza (AB9), Virpil (Alpha, CM3, CM1 and CM2), WW (TOP and CP), TM (MFDs, Pendular Rudder), Tek Creations (F18 panel), Total Controls (Apache MFD), Jetseat
hannibal Posted January 26, 2018 Posted January 26, 2018 $890.00 US!!!!! Nope. Try building your own.. motion sims from d-box go for 5,000$ plus find me on steam! username: Hannibal_A101A http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197969447179
Gladman Posted January 26, 2018 Posted January 26, 2018 Try building your own.. motion sims from d-box go for 5,000$ plus That's certainly an apples and oranges comparison. I don't see the value, you do. Its ok that we don't agree. i9 9900K @ 5.1Ghz - ASUS Maximus Hero XI - 32GB 4266 DDR4 RAM - ASUS RTX 2080Ti - 1 TB NVME - NZXT Kraken 62 Watercooling System - Thrustmaster Warthog Hotas (Virpil Base) - MFG Crosswind Pedals - Pimax 5K+ VFA-25 Fist Of The Fleet [sigpic]http://forums.eagle.ru/signaturepics/sigpic99190_2.gif[/sigpic] Virtual Carrier Strike Group 1 | Discord
Fri13 Posted January 26, 2018 Posted January 26, 2018 Compared to that, a price of $899-1300 for small 50 degree turn chair is cheap! Yes, you don't get the same experience at all as you would with that one, but you don't really need it to get experience of the motion. And it is cheap and that lightweight, small footprint design is very very attractive thing! In helicopter the yaw rotation would be very nice effect! To buy a VR system is 450€ To invest (risk investment) for 50 degree 3 DOF chair is 899€ To buy a new CPU is about 400-1200€ To buy a new RAM about 400€ To buy a new motherboard 150-200€ To buy a.... See, that 899€ investment would be nothing if you really finally get the product! No matter how great that video 2 DOF system is, it is just EXPENSIVE and just two axis! Even when you can go full around that, its size and weight is huge! You really need a own dedicated room for that! For that small chair I really could give a 7-10 year old to sit in it. But for that huge motion system, I wouldn't! If I would get something, no price limits, it would totally be that huge chair thing as I have space etc. But even then it would be questionable that is it worth of that own room? i7-8700k, 32GB 2666Mhz DDR4, 2x 2080S SLI 8GB, Oculus Rift S. i7-8700k, 16GB 2666Mhz DDR4, 1080Ti 11GB, 27" 4K, 65" HDR 4K.

I'd like a higher back, and more details on the mounts for a HOTAS and screen, but otherwise, very promising. Very promising indeed. The taller neck-support would be required but should be easy to be attachable like the leg support. And then the leg part should come with easy to attach own modified supports for HOTAS and pedals. But I think that the main challenge would be to get a VR HMD cable to go it safely so it doesn't get around you. So some kind "antenna" that holds the cable above you from a floor stand. But anyways, I would say that is the best design I have seen for that price range and the features. i7-8700k, 32GB 2666Mhz DDR4, 2x 2080S SLI 8GB, Oculus Rift S. i7-8700k, 16GB 2666Mhz DDR4, 1080Ti 11GB, 27" 4K, 65" HDR 4K.
The LT Posted January 27, 2018 Posted January 27, 2018 Please, not this chinese crap again. It is NOT great. You're supposed to be feeling the acceleration, not the attitude.
