Those collideable trees do nothing against AI planes/helicopters.

I had a KA-50 sliding along the ground through trees like they didn't exist (the guy in the picture). He survived dozens of fly-throughs without damage.

You can see the same when you let an AI jet take off from a short airfield on Normandy. They will just proceed to take off through the trees.

2.5 AI Helos flying through trees

Just as the title sounds the AI helos are flying low to the ground and are flying through trees. Ill post a pic later today..It looked like they flew through the trees but when they cleared the tree line they exploded. weird

AI helos fly trouht trees 2.5

As title says, least MI-24 don care trees. Rotor hits clearly in trees with out zero effect.

Any one noticed these. :(

Might be that AI routines would need to be adjusted somehow to track trees now, so this is a (temporary?) workaround.

i386DX40@42 MHz w/i387 CP, 4 MB RAM (8*512 kB), Trident 8900C 1 MB w/16-bit RAMDAC ISA, Quantum 340 MB UDMA33, SB 16, DOS 6.22 w/QEMM + Win3.11CE, Quickshot 1btn 2axis, Numpad as hat. 2 FPH on a good day, 1 FPH avg.

Same goes for ground units in CA. No collision model down to the ground but maybe this one is intended...

That's a worry/ little odd.

Hmm I wonder if it's intentional because otherwise it would cripple our frame rates if the AI could navigate around densely wooded areas.
