Pilotasso Posted February 17, 2007 Posted February 17, 2007 Some use different names. Im thinking about changing my war name in the next ED SIM. SOmetimes its refreshing not to be dealt with as someone already known but rather as an anonimous profile. .
S77th-ReOrdain Posted February 17, 2007 Posted February 17, 2007 Pilotasso, you couldn't hide. We'd know you anywhere ;).
Guest IguanaKing Posted February 17, 2007 Posted February 17, 2007 I was just on the S77th server, almost on target, getting fired on by a ship...then BOOM, suddenly I have a nice view of Khersones. I thought maybe I had just taken a REALLY good hit from a SAM. But the game log said I crashed. At 12,000'?! Over the ocean?! Then, I exit the game, and find out that I am no longer connected to hyperlobby. Logged back in just fine, but I was off when I came out of the game. I'm kinda an on-line noob...has anybody else had problems with being disconnected?
51GRIZZLY Posted February 17, 2007 Posted February 17, 2007 Pilotasso new name would be ossatolip ROFL!!!! :rotflmao: :megalol:
Cosmonaut Posted February 17, 2007 Posted February 17, 2007 I'm kinda an on-line noob...has anybody else had problems with being disconnected? Online from time to time you can expect all kinds of one off anomalies, once I even spawned as a ship, however if the problem is non repeating and for the most part you have trouble free play then I wouldn't worry about it. I was on the tarmac and I asked for a runway to head to- but there was no comms menu. Then I started to roll forward as I had not come back on the throttle yet- still wondering what was going on- then poof! Khersones... After I reconnected it was fine. No idea what happened. Guest IguanaKing Posted February 17, 2007 Posted February 17, 2007 Cool. Glad to know that other guys have seen it too. I said "BOOM" but there wasn't actually an explosion, my plane just ceased to be. It was quite a bit of fun while it lasted though. Your server has great missions Konny! Many thanks to Eagle, the F-15 driver who nailed that Fulcrum, that MiG-29 was definitely making life difficult.:D
S77th-konkussion Posted February 17, 2007 Posted February 17, 2007 Rgr. Methinks some part of HL may have been having some minor issues last evening. [sIGPIC]http://forums.eagle.ru/attachment.php?attachmentid=43337&d=1287169113[/sIGPIC]
S77th-ReOrdain Posted February 17, 2007 Posted February 17, 2007 IK, glad to hear you're taking the plunge. We've got plans to add more Air-to-Ground only missions as well as additional Air-to-Air only. Right now, the majority of what's on the S77th are a mixture of both, offering pilots the option of getting their feet wet in a variety of scenarios. It's kinda difficult to make a huge impact on the overall engagement flying strictly A/G unless you've got adequate air cover or have become somewhat familiar with the map (however, there may be some minimal random settings on AI SAMs). But the challenge is what makes it fun, right ;). Anyway, there's other good servers that offer Air-to-Ground engagements exclusively, and those servers should be explored as well. Kudos to all squads that continue to offer a place for people to fly. We're doing what we can to keep Lock On entertaining for as many online participants as possible. Keep coming back!
Guest IguanaKing Posted February 17, 2007 Posted February 17, 2007 Thanks for the info guys. Yup, its a lot more challenging and fun when its a mixed mission. Heh, now I've just gotta get familiar with using TS. I bought a really nice headset for that purpose almost a year ago, but it was such a pain reaching behind the computer to plug it in. I recently installed an X-fi Platinum with the drive bay console though, so, I no longer have to reach behind my rig. :)
