epoch Posted February 6, 2018 Posted February 6, 2018 I'm getting the following error when trying to update to 2.5.0.14044.316 --------------------------- DCS Updater 2.6.24.37 --------------------------- Can't move C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\_downloads\Bazar/Liveries/A-10C/Fictional Royal Norwegian Air Force/description.lua to C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\Bazar/Liveries/A-10C/Fictional Royal Norwegian Air Force/description.lua: (183) Cannot create a file when that file already exists. --------------------------- OK --------------------------- Can't run the game at all now. :(

The description.lua referenced in the error message was somehow corrupt. Had to take ownership of the file then delete it. Update process then worked without issue. Regards. epoch
too-cool Posted February 8, 2018 Posted February 8, 2018 Question for you Bignewy, I currently have 1.5.8 open beta and 2.2 open alpha installed both modded, if I update 1.5.8 to the new 2.5 as I understand it the update will gather the needed files/module it need from the 2.2 install and once complete will ask to delete 2.2 from my system. So my question is if I decide to not delete 2.2 will it still be as complete and playable as it was before the 1.5.8 update to 2.5?
