slundal Posted February 7, 2018 Posted February 7, 2018 So I'm trying to do a nav fix and or move my target waypoint. My process is as follow. :pilotfly: 1. T1 Fix - grid goes away, cross-hair shows up. (the M or B changes to an E) 2. Move cross-hair over desired area on the radar screen. 3. TV Fix From what I can tell this should be the correct way of doing things. But, every time I do this the grid just comes back. The cross-hair is still visible and the target waypoint does not move or no navigation fix takes place. :joystick: Am I missing something important here?
QuiGon Posted February 9, 2018 Posted February 9, 2018 I haven't done a radar nav fix in a while (I'm mostly doing overfly nav fixes), but I will check it later and see if I have the same issue with radar nav fixes. Intel i7-12700K @ 8x5GHz+4x3.8GHz + 32 GB DDR5 RAM + Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 (8 GB VRAM) + M.2 SSD + Windows 10 64Bit DCS Panavia Tornado (IDS) really needs to be a thing!
Rudel_chw Posted February 9, 2018 Posted February 9, 2018 I've just checked it and it Works like it should ... press T1Fix, then move the cursor and press TV Fix ... the waypoint rings moves to the new designated position. Check your keys, for T1 I'm using "RSHF + t" and for TV I'm using "LCTL + LSHF + t" ... If I'm not mistaken, those keys were not binded by default and I had to define them myself. slundal Posted February 9, 2018 Author Posted February 9, 2018 Thank you! :) I have all those switches bound to my hotas. If I'm using the right procedure then I'm gonna file this under "bugs" instead.
Rudel_chw Posted February 9, 2018 Posted February 9, 2018 OK, but my Viggen can do the radar fix with no trouble, so it isnt a widespread bug. QuiGon Posted February 10, 2018 Posted February 10, 2018 (edited) Thank you! :) I have all those switches bound to my hotas. If I'm using the right procedure then I'm gonna file this under "bugs" instead. Works for me as well, so I think you might be doing something wrong. Edit: I tested it in SP, so maybe it's different in MP. Sephyrius Posted February 10, 2018 Posted February 10, 2018 (edited) Worked fine for me today, but pre-2.5 I often had your problem. Few things are as frustrating as flying all the way to an objective only to be unable to make that final AG radar correction to hit the target squarely. Edited February 10, 2018 by Sephyrius
Rudel_chw Posted February 10, 2018 Posted February 10, 2018 Yesterday I noted that on my PC the Nav Fix works fine on single player, but on multiplayer its behaving the same as the original poster's :( For work: iMac mid-2010 of 27" - Core i7 870 - 6 GB DDR3 1333 MHz - ATI HD5670 - SSD 256 GB - HDD 2 TB - macOS High Sierra For Gaming: 34" Monitor - Ryzen 3600 - 32 GB DDR4 2400 - nVidia RTX2080 - SSD 1.25 TB - HDD 10 TB - Win10 Pro - TM HOTAS Cougar Mobile: iPad Pro 12.9" of 256 GB
earnil Posted February 11, 2018 Posted February 11, 2018 Hey! This happened to me as well. Apparently, it happens when you have RB75/MARK/DYK selected on your weapon selector switch. With anything else (ATTACK, etc...) it works as intended.
Rudel_chw Posted February 11, 2018 Posted February 11, 2018 I was with Rb15F on MP and it happened to me, couldnt get the radar fix needed to use the missile properly, had to launch them using the quick mode, that doesnt require a radar Fix. Zabuzard Posted February 12, 2018 Posted February 12, 2018 Could someone create a video? Usually this helps way more than text. It can also help to identify pilot errors.
