Decision re Interactive Training

Recommended Posts

In the sticky Hornet FAQ here, in answer to "Will interactive training missions and a free campaign be included?", Wags says "Not for the Early Access release, but they may be included at a later point. This has not been decided".

Can anyone provide any information on when ED might decide if interactive training will be included? If they decide not to include that training, will ED engage a third-party campaign designer to create a paid training campaign, or will that be up to a campaign designer themself? Lastly, if the Hornet doesn't include interactive training, will that make it the first full-fidelity a/c to not include one?

My interpretation of what was stated was not that there wouldn't be training mission, it just may not be included with EA. Which makes sense, because they will just have to remake them once the Hornet is feature complete.

I hope that is what they meant. I do agree a module needs to be finished before training missions are created. Thanks for answering :)

I understand it's not sure that they will make training missions, probably it would be compensated by all the videos Wags is making about all aspects of the hornet systems and features all along the developpment.

What I would really enjoy is some kind of campaign that would provide a qualification on F/A18c, in the same way we see canadian pilots being trained for the hornet in the doc serie "jetsteam".

Interesting idea about the qualification. Just in case you’re not already aware, Maple Flag have made qualification campaigns for other airframes, so if anyone will do it it’s them.
