Flow Posted February 17, 2018 Posted February 17, 2018 Hi - Wingman always tries to land with me at the end of a mission, so I aim for the left side of the runway. He takes his gear out and everything, but aborts quite close to the ground. I tried to land long, fast, etc... Nothing helps. He always aborts and lands later. Any trick to formation land ? :) Thanks ! He is just trying to keep his formation with you and does not assume that you are landing. Normally after the mission you should tell him to RTB so he will not follow you and land independently. Formation landing is not supported I think. [CENTER] [/CENTER]

I'm the flight lead, not sure how to follow him ? He is just trying to keep his formation with you and does not assume that you are landing. Normally after the mission you should tell him to RTB so he will not follow you and land independently. Formation landing is not supported I think. Or crash while circling around. 90% of the time, when I've landed, they circle for a minute or two, then I hear the explosions. If I actually care to have them land with me, I usually tell them to go trail prior to the IAP, then tell them to RTB as I cross it. They follow down the slope in trail. Or they have in the past, at least.
