Ground Texture issue need a bit of help?

I have repaired install using the updater, DCS if fully updated any ideas? :book:

go to users/yourname/saved games/dcs and delete everything in the metashaders folder.

Nope, still have pixelated ground textures :((((((

While you were there, You should also try deleting everything from the fxo folder.

 

I see you fly with Deferred Shading off, does it happen with DS on as well?

Thanks for the help, I installed a new GTX 1080 ti yesterday and fired up DCS and ground textures have gone nuts :(

 

 

Art-J -- Yes both, DS also has the same problem, Ill delete the fxo too.

I hate to be bearer of bad news... I had that because my graphic card started to give up.

 

In my case running temps were too high and it slowly cooked to death doing exactly what you see there.

Brand new card, Temps are fine, No artifacting, Seems to me to be a missing texture/shader, same locations on Map, game runs fine.

 

Trying to go through log file to find the issue.

 

Don't want to re-install as data out here is expensive.

New drivers or installed over old ones?

 

I would go for a fresh driver using DDU

Yep Done that, De-installed all old ones and Registry stuff ,I used the uninstall tool, fresh driver install. Still trying here..

Just going to chuck some ideas out there

 

is the card seated correctly?

is the cable to the monitor secure

 

Try renaming your dcs saved games and run a cleanup and repair

oops no, still working on it, textures turned to low got ride of it, now i'm on high and they have returned

are you using any third party shaders, like reshade?

If you have not already go for the dcs world cleanup

Nar, something is a miss, Have gone back to those low settings and the problem still remains.

 

I don't use 3rd party anything for DCS except voice attack.

 

I have done a clean up and repair still have this color/texture issue. Ill leave it for now, will have a fresh stab at it tomorrow. :)

they were having problems apparently, also what graphics driver are you currently using?

Ok, narrowed this down after testing seems, Summer textures/grass are NOT working correctly in VR.

 

If I change to Autumn or spring no problems in VR, So no summer flying for me atm!

 

Yeah, I've read all the problems with oculus, mine works after they patched the driver last night,

 

I have rolled back to 388.59 and it still happens in Summer.

 

Any idea where summer textures/terrain are located? as I could delete that folder and then repair.

are you restarting DCS before switching seasons?

 

We currently have an issue with seasons without closing DCS, so give it a go and see if there is any difference.

 

However you are the first that I know of with these strange issues.
