hitman Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 Seemed to work a lil bit but I got more CTD's than I wanted. The jury's out on this one. No contest.

PoleCat Posted March 21, 2007 Posted March 21, 2007 I found Prophet's suggestion of using the creative alchemy advanced installation very helpful. After putting the two specified files in the FC directory the Audio was considerably better for me under Vista. Thanks Prophet. Slow but sure is the progress under Vista32. Fudd Posted March 21, 2007 Posted March 21, 2007 I have realtek hardware and I manually installed the alchemy files in the FC folder. The sound is much improved just as Pole Cat says. Thanks Prohpet! I do notice there is some stutter in the sound when there is alot going on in game, the pdf file said that would happen, so it wasnt a surprise. The code is probaly in Russian anyway.
VMFA-Blaze Posted March 21, 2007 Posted March 21, 2007 I'm beginning to get a little fed up with waiting for MS to deliver my Vista upgrades... And I really hate calling MS because I always seem to get someone from India that doesn't speak that good of English.. and acts like I'm bothering them or something.... Well I actually purchased the OEM systems from Newegg.. so I'm going to wait a day or two more and contact NE.... I mean the the 2 Cd's cost over 300.00 USD.. intel Cor i7-6700K ASUS ROG MAX VIII Extreme G.Skill TridentZ Series 32 GB Samsung 850 Pro 1TB SATA II ASUS GTX 1080/DIRECTX 12 Windows 10 PRO Thrustmaster Warthog Oculus Rift VR
Prophet Posted March 22, 2007 Posted March 22, 2007 If you are getting stutter, the PDF tells you how to manually set the duration value for the specific game. I forget what the default value is without it set, but it says in the manual. So if you are getting stutter, just manually set it below the default and try again.
