Willy p. Posted March 13, 2007 Posted March 13, 2007 This has been happening to me for sometime now, I can’t remember when it started but it’s really bothering me now. I have tried changing my settings…low…med…high, terrain load, visibility…all that with no success. Any help would be appreciated. See how some of the land is in focus and some is not. 44th_Willy p. 187 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] http://44thvfw.org
159th_Viper Posted March 13, 2007 Posted March 13, 2007 I had the same issue with my system - updated to the latest ATI Drivers upon release and that seemed to solve the problem for me. Willy p. Posted March 13, 2007 Author Posted March 13, 2007 I have Nvidia card...BFG6800GT OC, I will try the lates drivers and see what happens. 44th_Willy p. 187 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] http://44thvfw.org
Program2 Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 If you have low settings for your LOD this will happen. I leave mine at default and it doesn't do this. Decreasing it will give you a bit of more frames but will also result in such effects. LandLodDistances { LandDay { L01 = 10000; L12 = 40000;
Kuky Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 yeah, just change LandDay L01 = 10000; L12 = 40000; to something like LandDay L01 = 20000; (or even 30000) L12 = 40000; This will load higher quality ground texture at further distance... it will look nicer but at the expence of frame rate. Test different values and see what's acceptable for your system and visually good enough for yourself. VMFA-Blaze Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 I looks like your seeing long triangular shaped patches that appear to be a different shades ?? If this what you mean, then yes I have this issue as well... But I don't really see it all of time.. and I think that its a driver issue... When I first installed my 6800 Ultra I had an issue with the clouds not rendering properly.. Well this actually went away after installing newer drivers... But the way things stand for me at present I now have the latest drivers available...and the only way that I'll be able to install newer drivers is by installing Vista... I'm not planning on doing this as of yet... And although there are beta drivers out on 3D Guru I really haven't decided to take that risk yet either.... I'd hate to screw everything up now after all of the hard work get everything running stable.... And there's the other alternative of over clocking my CPU... I might just do this next.... ~S~ Blaze intel Cor i7-6700K ASUS ROG MAX VIII Extreme G.Skill TridentZ Series 32 GB Samsung 850 Pro 1TB SATA II ASUS GTX 1080/DIRECTX 12 Windows 10 PRO Thrustmaster Warthog Oculus Rift VR
VMFA-Blaze Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 The red arrows and lines shouldn't be there, I think it's your video card :music_whistling: I have never seen red lines, arrows and numbers.. I really didn't look that closely at the screenie, I actually thought that those were lift lines... Well since they're not I guess the issue must be the card is burning out... I'd be interested to see what the outcome is after changing the settings... ~S~ Blaze intel Cor i7-6700K ASUS ROG MAX VIII Extreme G.Skill TridentZ Series 32 GB Samsung 850 Pro 1TB SATA II ASUS GTX 1080/DIRECTX 12 Windows 10 PRO Thrustmaster Warthog Oculus Rift VR
