When in the moving map, I export the mfd, the map now becomes very bright so you can not see the button overlay on screen, this happens with both sides, the gain control does not work yet so can not turn down brightness.

There is a brightness problem with the moving map. It does not want to respond to the brightness controls, so we had to make a specific fix for it by manually decreasing the brightness.

If you look at the map from the cockpit without exporting it, there is no problem. But on export, the map is too dark in the exported view. To fix this I included an instruction that when you export the map, it returns to its original brightness so it looks normal in the exported view. Unfortunately this makes the map too bright in the cockpit view.

I felt this was a fair trade-off; if you are using the exported view, then it does not matter how bright it is in the in-cockpit MPCD screen.

We are working with ED to find a solution for the moving map lack of brightness/contrast control.

Thanks for the work around Zeus. I turn off the in game MFCD's anyway when I export them.

thanks for the reply and all the work, but the brightness is the same on my mini monitor behind the mfd as it is on the main screen, i.e both are very bright, to use it I have to keep the export off.

If you look at the map from the cockpit

Why is the compass-rose color on the map Yellow?

Shouldn't it be Green?

Yellow compass-rose makes it hard to reed on the map background. Or can you change the compass-rose to different colors IRL?

Really?

I will create an option so you can choose between enabling/disabling the brightness switch when exporting the MPCD.

We are told that is possible, but cannot find an option to do so in the real MPCD.
