Unfortunately, no matter how well it is programmed, it will eventually become easy to beat because it will respond the same way to the same situation. A human opponent is inherently unpredictable (most of the time) which makes a huge difference. I may be putting myself ahead of my learning curve there, but I'm looking forward to finding out!
