DCS 1.5.8.12667 won't update to 2.5

Hi,

 

I'm kind of confused by all the instructions I've read on updating to 2.5 stable release. I was thinking my DCS 1.5.8.12667 would do it's usual update check and then update to 2.5 stable release but it just goes straight to the game each time, even if I click on the updater.exe in bin folder. Am I missing something? I do not have any other version of DCS on my PC.

That doesn't work. The install will not proceed - it just says DCS World directory is already used up (by DCS 1.5.8)

Oh wait, the 1.5.8 self updater is now working :)
